Introduction to the Standards Committee
"National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 520)" (hereinafter referred to as "Laundry Label Committee") was established in 2011. It is a technical organization responsible for the standardization work in the national laundry and dyeing field, approved by the National Standardization Management Committee and organized by the Ministry of Commerce. The Secretariat's daily work is managed by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce (referred to as "China Laundry Committee"). The main scope of work includes the formulation and revision of national standards in the fields of basic standards for the laundry and dyeing industry, business management, service specifications, technical requirements, and laundry quality requirements.
The Secretariat of the "National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee Laundry Service Sub-Technical Committee (SAC/TC520/SC1)" under the Laundry Label Committee is jointly undertaken by the Guangdong Provincial Standardization Association and the Guangdong Laundry Industry Association.
Since its establishment, the Laundry Label Committee has proposed a systematic, comprehensive, and reasonable standard system for the laundry and dyeing industry to the National Standardization Management Committee and the commerce authorities, and has carried out the formulation of standards step by step and according to plan based on the standard system. At the same time, it has implemented policies and regulations, provided standardization services, cultivated standardization talents, conducted standardization research projects, and promoted the coordinated unity and standardized management of the standardization work in China's laundry and dyeing industry. In May 2018, the second term of the Laundry Label Committee ushered in a new chapter in the standardization work of the laundry and dyeing industry. The second term of the Laundry Label Committee consists of 29 members, with Chairman Pan Wei, Vice Chairmen Lu Zhiji and Zhu Lijun, Secretary-General Feng Jinna, Deputy Secretary-General Chen Qian, and members who are experts in the standard field, heads or technical backbones of standardization work from local laundry associations, garment and public textile washing, leather care, machinery manufacturing, and quality inspection units.
