This April in Hainan is different from previous years, with many major state events. The third formal meeting of BRICS leaders was held in Sanya on April 14, and almost simultaneously, the 2011 annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia opened in Boao, Hainan on April 15. The main venues for the major state events—the Hainan Boao State Guesthouse, Sanya Sheraton Hotel, and the high-end international brand hotels in Haitang Bay where domestic and foreign heads of state rest, "Sanya Wanda Haitang Bay Hilton DoubleTree Hotel" and "Sanya Haitang Bay Renaissance Resort Hotel"—all use our Hangxing full set of washing equipment. Therefore, Hangxing undoubtedly played a crucial role in this grand event and was duty-bound to "escort" it. After strict political review, colleagues from the Haikou office entered the relevant hotels of the state event to provide 24-hour "close service" for the normal operation of their laundry rooms.
During the meeting, the pressure on the laundry room was not due to heavy washing tasks, but because no mistakes could occur during the washing of linens. Any unclean washing, damage, or delayed delivery would bring negative impacts. Colleagues from Hangxing Haikou office stayed close to the laundry room, working continuously around the "equipment" and "linens," not only "serving" the equipment well but also finding ways to help laundry staff ensure the cleanliness of the linens. Until the meeting ended, the excellent performance of the equipment and the colleagues' "meticulous" maintenance enabled the hotel laundry rooms to deliver an "excellent report card" for the state event, which also earned the Haikou office a good reputation and more benefits.
Facing such a heavy workload and pressure, the editorial department wanted the Haikou office to share their experiences and hardships about this "escort" work, but Mr. Dai Jianwen from the Haikou office said lightly and repeatedly, "This is nothing, it's all what should be done."
