On May 15, 2011, the torch relay event of the 26th Summer Universiade was held in Guangzhou University Town. Lu Zhiji, Deputy Director of the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Guangdong Tiantian Laundry Company, after becoming a torchbearer for the Asian Games, was once again selected as a torchbearer to participate in the torch relay.
