On the afternoon of February 3rd, the Department of Service Trade and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce and the China General Chamber of Commerce organized a working meeting on "Carrying out Quality Service Activities in the Field of Economic and Trade Services." Wang Qinhua, Vice President of the China General Chamber of Commerce, Peng Kequan, Director of the Department of Service Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, as well as the secretaries-general of eight related associations including the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, China Cuisine Association, China Hotel Association, and China Beauty and Hairdressing Association attended the meeting.
At the meeting, relevant officials from the Ministry of Commerce introduced the specific requirements for carrying out the "Quality Service" activities and the related implementation methods to the secretaries-general of the associations. The activity is planned to be carried out from March 15 to December 31. During this period, each industry will, according to the activity requirements of highlighting standards, services, commitments, comparing skills, styles, and performance, and based on industry characteristics and actual conditions, carry out job training, job competitions, job standardization, job services, job satisfaction, job efficiency promotion, and job achievement activities, allowing quality services to benefit the broad masses of people. During the activity summary phase, the Ministry of Commerce and the organizing associations will commend outstanding units of the activity.
Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, stated at the meeting: "Carrying out the striving for excellence activities in the national laundry and dyeing industry is a key task for the Laundry and Dyeing Committee in 2012, focusing on standard knowledge competitions, laundry store standardization, and well-known brand surveys."
At the meeting, relevant officials from the Ministry of Commerce also stated that statistical work in each industry should not be neglected. It is necessary to improve related statistical work by establishing key enterprises, key members, and through cooperation with local commerce authorities and contact with local associations.
