2014 Conference on Quality Service Activities in the Trade and Service Industry Held

The 2014 Quality Service Activity Conference for the Trade and Service Industry was held in Beijing on the 28th. Vice Minister of Commerce Fang Aiqing, Director of the Trade in Services Department Zhou Liujun, Deputy Inspector Wang Huiying, President of the China General Chamber of Commerce Zhang Zhigang, Vice President and Secretary-General Jiang Ming, Vice President Wang Qinhua, Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Lijun, Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee Wang Shuyuan, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General Pan Wei, typical enterprises and individual representatives from the national laundry and dyeing industry who were commended including Lu Zhiji, Jiang Yingmei, Xu Yanmei, Dai Jie, Li Qiaoling, Xing Jinzhi, Sun Jingfang, Jiang Hongli, Zhang Xiaobing, Cao Caifu, and more than 300 representatives from the trade and service industry attended the meeting.
President Zhang Zhigang and Vice President Wang Qinhua of the China General Chamber of Commerce delivered speeches at the meeting respectively. 
At the meeting, Director Wang Shuyuan of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee gave a speech and presented awards to the typical figures of the quality service activities in the laundry and dyeing industry. She said: "The laundry and dyeing industry has a long history and is developing rapidly. The procedures are complex and strict, but there are very few practitioners. The typical figures being commended today are just representatives of many outstanding workers in the industry."
Finally, Vice Minister of Commerce Fang Aiqing pointed out three requirements regarding quality service: "First, raise awareness and regard quality service activities as a measure to promote the development of the trade and service industry, comprehensively improving the quality and level of development of the trade and service industry; second, fully implement laws and standards, as they are not only necessary for industry self-discipline but also the foundation for enterprises' survival; third, make establishing role models a norm. Local commerce authorities, associations, and enterprises should pay attention to collecting and exploring typical examples of quality service activities in all positions within their regions and industries, fully utilizing various media channels for publicity and promotion to enhance the social influence of quality service activities." 
The National Quality Service Activity for the Trade and Service Industry is advocated by the Ministry of Commerce, led by the China General Chamber of Commerce, co-organized by eight service industry associations (branches) including the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, and participated in by 37 local commerce authorities. This meeting aims to publicize typical deeds of quality service, summarize and exchange experiences from the 2013 quality service activities, and deploy work for 2014.
