On the morning of March 11, the national teleconference on service trade and commercial service industry work organized by the Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce was held at the Ministry of Commerce headquarters. Business departments of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and cities specifically designated in the state plan set up sub-venues. The Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce and the national-level commercial system associations participated in the main venue. Wang Shuyuan, Director of the Professional Committee of Laundry and Dyeing, and Xue Dapeng, Deputy Secretary-General, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Director Zhou Liujun of the Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, and Vice Minister Fang Aiqing of the Ministry of Commerce participated. At the meeting, business departments from Tianjin, Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangdong Province, and Hangzhou introduced their experiences related to service trade, commercial services, and the exhibition industry. Finally, Vice Minister Fang Aiqing gave four important instructions: first, the work situation in 2013; second, fully recognizing the importance of developing service trade and commercial services; third, planning new ideas for the development of service trade and commercial services in line with development trends; fourth, focusing on key points and implementing measures to promote new breakthroughs in service trade and commercial services. Minister Fang's speech summarized the work of 2013, deeply analyzed the situation of service trade and commercial services, and clearly pointed out that the current period is an important strategic opportunity for the development of service trade and commercial services. Developing service trade and commercial services will play an important role in promoting the economy and transforming the mode of economic development, further enhancing the confidence of participants in doing a good job in service trade and commercial services.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Commerce also proposed a plan to establish a directory of key enterprises in the commercial service industry. Accordingly, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee is also studying the implementation plan for establishing the "National Key Enterprises Directory of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry" to cooperate with this work of the Ministry of Commerce.
