On-site of the Approval Meeting
This site news: The National Ministry of Commerce's Laundry Industry Standards Approval Meeting was held on July 12 at the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce. At the meeting, four domestic trade industry standards jointly drafted by the Laundry Professional Committee, Beijing Laundry Industry Association, Shanghai Laundry Industry Association, Nanjing Laundry Industry Association, Beijing Funait Laundry Service Co., Ltd., Tianjin Chaoli Laundry Co., Ltd., and Qingdao Jieshen Laundry Co., Ltd. were reviewed. These standards include "Laundry Industry Terminology," "Quality Requirements for Ironing Suits and Trousers," "Technical Specifications for Laundry Service Contracts," and "Quality Requirements for Cleaning Public Textiles." Dong Bo, Deputy Director of the Circulation Industry Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Liang Zhaoshan, Investigator of the Trade Service Department of the Ministry of Commerce, as well as experts from the laundry associations of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and some enterprises attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Pan Wei, Secretary-General of the Laundry Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce. Investigator Liang Zhaoshan and Deputy Director Dong Bo put forward requirements for the formulation and specific approval work of industry standards and participated in the review and revision of the four standards. The meeting elected Wang Xueren, President of the Beijing Laundry Association, as the head of the review group, who organized the review. At the meeting, experts reviewed the content of the four standards chapter by chapter and article by article, proposed amendments, and unanimously agreed that the four standards referenced relevant domestic and international standards and norms, complied with the format requirements of GB/T1.1—2009, and possessed strong scientific, advanced, and practical qualities. The standards address key issues in the laundry industry service operations, combine characteristics of actual production and operation, and provide targeted suggestions and requirements for daily business management and quality responsibility of enterprises, playing an important guiding role in promoting the healthy and orderly development of China's laundry industry.
The Secretariat of the Laundry Professional Committee will further revise, supplement, and improve the standard texts based on the experts' discussion and comments at the meeting, prepare the approval draft and related materials, and complete the approval procedures with the Ministry of Commerce according to the process.
