Director Wang Shuyuan and others meet with the delegation from the Japan Laundry and Dyeing Productivity Agreement Association
On March 13, Wang Shuyuan, Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General Pan Wei, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jidong, and others met in Beijing with Junichi Kato, Chairman of the Japan Laundry and Dyeing Productivity Agreement Association, Director Izumi Toshiyuki, Supervisor Nakamura Kentaro, and Zhang Wei, Director of Overseas Business Department of Japan Right Company. During the meeting, both Chinese and Japanese sides exchanged views on the characteristics of their respective laundry and dyeing industries and industry activities. Director Wang and Secretary-General Pan focused on introducing the preparations for the China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Internet Conference to be held on May 7 and the 16th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition and the 9th China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition to be held in Beijing from August 6 to 8, hoping for Japanese participation in these events. Chairman Kato mainly introduced the IDC conference to be held in Japan this September and discussed some specific issues of the conference, hoping that the Laundry and Dyeing Committee would organize a delegation to Osaka for exchange and learning.
Laundry and Dyeing Committee issues 2015 [01] Yellow Washing Warning
According to CCTV reports, international brands such as Armani and MANGO have appeared on the 3.15 blacklist.
CCTV stated that clothes from D&G, H&M, ZARA, and ARMANI (Armani) failed quality tests! In 2014, national inspection and quarantine agencies sampled 23,818 batches of imported clothing, with unqualified brands including H&M, GAP, CAVALLI, OLD NAVY, FOREVER 21, ARMANI, ZARA, American Apparel, DOLCE&GABBANA, Mango, etc. The reasons for failure involved color fastness, pH value, formaldehyde, azo compounds, and other non-compliance issues.
Therefore, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee issued the 2015 [01] Yellow Washing Warning to remind consumers and laundry practitioners to pay attention to the washing labels of international brand clothing and to avoid washing disputes as much as possible.
Pan Wei leads a team to visit some laundry enterprises in Beijing and Hebei
In mid-March, Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee, together with Tao Yuting, Deputy General Manager of Sales and Project Manager of Guangdong Xinzhilian Exhibition Service Company, visited some laundry enterprises in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, and Sanhe. During the visits, they had in-depth communication with enterprise leaders about the 16th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition to be held in Beijing from August 6 to 8, 2015, encouraging them to actively participate in the exhibition and related activities to jointly build a national brand for the laundry industry exhibition. During this period, Deputy General Manager Tao Yuting and others also visited laundry service and equipment companies such as Beijing Rongchang, Innovation Ancient Road, Jiebao, and Yousa on behalf of the exhibition organizing committee.
Preparations underway for the China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Internet Conference
The China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Internet Conference will be grandly held in Dalian on May 7. The conference will conduct in-depth discussions on the application and development prospects of internet technology in the laundry industry, encouraging innovative and divergent thinking. Internet laundry experts will share their summaries of business concepts and practices with peers. This conference is currently the first major event in China to promote cross-sector integration and cooperation between the internet and traditional laundry industries, providing a rare opportunity for exchanging internet laundry concepts in the Chinese laundry industry.
So far, nearly one hundred participants from across the country and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan have registered; meanwhile, speakers from internet or community laundry service companies, laundry equipment or automated laundry management companies, and enterprises in various high-tech application fields of the laundry industry have all actively joined the conference.
Standard approval meeting for "Self-service Laundry Store Opening Conditions" held in Shanghai
On March 20, the industry standard approval meeting for "Self-service Laundry Store Opening Conditions," organized by the Service Trade and Commercial Service Industry Department of the Ministry of Commerce, was held in Shanghai. Pan Wei, Secretary-General of the National Laundry Label Committee and Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee, was entrusted to preside over the meeting.
Attendees included Wang Houzeng, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Laundry Label Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee; Ren Fengmei, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association and member of the National Laundry Label Committee; Li Jiemei, Vice President of the Shanghai Laundry Industry Association; Xia Xiaoyun, Secretary-General of the Nanjing Laundry Industry Association and member of the National Laundry Label Committee; Hu Kaiyan, President of the Suzhou Laundry Industry Association; Lin Ying, General Manager of Shanghai Color Environmental Protection Technology Company representing the standard drafting enterprise; Yang Yanan, General Manager of Subikun Laundry Management (Shanghai) Company; Shen Ping, General Manager of Shanghai Churun Cleaning Supplies Company; and several other enterprise representatives. The meeting heard the drafting group's explanation and report on the standard's preparation and unanimously approved the draft standard for submission. The standard specifies the requirements for business premises, service facilities, business management and service norms, and technical guarantees that self-service laundry stores should meet. It provides an important basis for regulating the opening conditions of self-service laundry stores, improving enterprise service and management levels, and effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of operators and consumers.
Laundry and Dyeing Committee visits Beijing Laundry Association
On April 3, Wang Shuyuan, Director of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee, Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General, Wang Houzeng, Executive Deputy Director, and others visited the Beijing Laundry Industry Association.
They had in-depth exchanges with Wang Xueran, President of the Beijing Laundry Industry Association, and Gao Yunli, Secretary-General, regarding the 16th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition, the 9th National Laundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition, and the Leadership Summit to be held in Beijing in August 2015.
Registration opens for the 9th "National Laundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition"
The biennial "National Laundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition" is a national-level category II vocational skills competition hosted by the China General Chamber of Commerce and the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, and organized by the Laundry and Dyeing Committee. It is the most authoritative vocational skills competition in the laundry industry. The finals of the 9th competition will be held concurrently with the 16th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition in 2015. This competition includes six events: laundry knowledge, garment ironing, stain removal, shoe care, leather care, and clothing mending. Registration and preparation work are now fully underway.
