On September 18, 2013, the "2013 Beijing Commercial Service Industry Service Skills Competition" clothing ironing event, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Commerce Commission and organized by the Beijing Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, was successfully concluded at the Century Golden Resources Laundry Center. Liu Wenyu, Minister of the Beijing Commercial Federation, Zhuang Qiufeng, Deputy Director of the Circulation Order Division of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Commission, and Fu Leheng, Deputy Director of the Service Transaction Division of the Commerce Commission, attended the finals and supervised the entire process.
Wu Ruizhang, an expert from the Beijing Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association and chief judge of this competition, gave a brief explanation and guidance on clothing ironing before the competition. Afterwards, the participants drew lots.
The competition consisted of two parts: a written test and a practical operation. At 9:30 AM, the written test officially began. At 10:00, the written test ended and the practical operation started. Thirty contestants were ready, divided into two groups for flat board and pointed board ironing simultaneously. The garments to be ironed were shirts and trousers, with a time limit of 20 minutes. The tense atmosphere of the competition was immediately apparent. Experts from the Beijing Laundry and Dyeing Industry, Ma Xiangliang, Wang Chaoyi, Wang Zhiqiang, and Ren Shucheng, served as judges to supervise the competition.
Since the launch ceremony on July 30 this year, the clothing ironing event of the 2013 Beijing Commercial Service Industry Service Skills Competition lasted nearly two months. More than 80 people from four sub-competition areas participated in the preliminary selection, and 30 contestants entered the final.
After nearly three hours of intense competition, the event concluded successfully. On the afternoon of the 18th, the judging panel carefully evaluated the performances throughout the afternoon and, based on a 30% theory and 70% practical ratio, finally selected 10 outstanding contestants. Wang Jikuan, Kang Shanshan, and Wen Xiaojun from Rongchang Ilsa won the top three places respectively.
During the competition, all participants actively engaged, studied attentively, and competed earnestly. Participants expressed that through this competition, they not only mastered a large amount of theoretical knowledge but also improved their clothing ironing skills through mutual learning, gaining a lot.
The clothing ironing skills competition, as part of the 2013 Beijing Commercial Service Industry Service Skills Competition, attracted great attention in the laundry industry. It greatly promoted the development of vocational skills competitions in Beijing's laundry industry, enhanced the professional skills of many workers, and stimulated the enthusiasm of laundry industry employees to learn technology, study business, and excel in their positions. At the same time, the successful hosting of this competition marks a new starting point for the cultivation and development of clothing ironing skilled talents in Beijing's laundry industry. It continues to change concepts, improve the training, development, and utilization of skilled talents citywide, provide strong support and a relaxed environment for the growth and development of skilled talents, improve the overall quality of enterprise skilled personnel, and provide strong skilled talent support for the upgrading and transformation of the laundry industry.
