Recently, the China National Light Industry Council organized and presided over the achievement appraisal meeting for the "Tunnel-type Continuous Large-scale Washing Machine Unit" project, jointly completed by Jiangsu Haishi Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. The appraisal committee consisted of 13 experts. Among them, Professor Duan Zhengcheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the chairman; Professor Ding Han, dean of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Professor Fu Dongli, director of Jiangsu Provincial Mechanical Research and Design Institute, served as vice chairmen; and Professor Yuan Juntang, party secretary of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, along with 10 other experts, served as members.
This project is part of the 12th Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Plan. The innovation team "Digital Design and Manufacturing of Complex Products," led by Professor Tang Wenxian from our university, together with the Technical Center of Jiangsu Haishi Machinery Group Co., Ltd., jointly completed the research and development of an automatic weighing loader, tunnel-type washing cage, pressing and dehydration machine, automatic shuttle conveyor, and through-type drying unit. The appraisal committee reviewed the work report, technical report, product testing report, novelty search report, economic benefit analysis report, user feedback, computational analysis report, standardization review report, and related achievement reports, and visited the product site to examine relevant materials. After inquiry and discussion, the appraisal committee concluded that the achievement fills a domestic gap, breaks the long-term technological monopoly of foreign companies, promotes a leapfrog development in China's washing industry, and that the technical results overall reach a domestic leading and internationally advanced level, unanimously agreeing to pass the appraisal.
