Laundry and Dyeing Committee Released 2016 Washing Warnings [01] and [02]
Washing Warning [01] Suede Leather Garment Washing Warning
Suede leather garments are soft in texture and gentle in color, and have always been popular clothing. However, during washing, they often become a point of conflict between consumers and operators.
Problem Analysis: Slight color spots appearing on certain parts of suede leather garments after wearing and washing are normal; poor suede effect is due to inadequate nap raising process after washing, not a de-napping phenomenon.
Warning Tips: 1. When laundry shop clerks receive suede leather jackets, they must clearly explain the post-wash effects to consumers in advance and obtain their signed confirmation. For example, phenomena such as color spots, fading, and nap reversal that may occur after washing should be informed beforehand to prevent unnecessary disputes.
2. After washing suede leather jackets, use a nap-raising tool to restore the areas with nap reversal, making the garment close to its original state.
Washing Warning [02] Coated Fabric Garment Washing Warning
Coated fabric garments are very common in washing services, and washing problems frequently occur due to their washing labels.
Problem Analysis: For garments with coatings, whether dry cleaned with petroleum or perchloroethylene, the probability of accidents after dry cleaning is very high.
Warning Tips: 1. When consumers purchase garments with coatings, if they find the label "Do not wash," please purchase cautiously.
2. When receiving coated fabric garments, inform consumers that water washing is more effective than dry cleaning. If consumers strongly request dry cleaning, explain the washing risks clearly and ask for their signed confirmation.
3. When receiving coated fabric garments with heavy stains, inform consumers in advance that local coating peeling, uneven color, or incomplete stain removal may occur.
4. Although accidents of coated clothes becoming stiff after dry cleaning can be treated, they should be avoided as much as possible.
