On the afternoon of July 3, 2013, Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee, and Wang Houzeng, Executive Deputy Director, received Mr. Forney, an expert from the Dyeing and Washing Technology Center of the French Textile Research Institute, who came for a special visit. They exchanged views on the current situation and technological development of the laundry and dyeing industry in China and France.
Secretary-General Pan Wei first introduced the current operating status of China's laundry and dyeing industry to Mr. Forney, communicating with him on various aspects including the usage of dry cleaning machines in Chinese laundries, the usage ratio of tetrachloroethylene and petroleum dry cleaning machines, and the price differences between franchise chain laundries and independently operated laundries. Subsequently, Deputy Director Wang Houzeng stated during the conversation that the current situation of China's laundry and dyeing industry is not much different from that of developed countries, and the pace of development is basically consistent with that of developed foreign countries.
Mr. Forney had an in-depth exchange with the leaders of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee regarding the operating status of the French laundry and dyeing industry, the usage of dry cleaning machines, the price differences between franchise chain laundries and independently operated laundries, and their experimental results on environmental protection and stain removal of dry cleaning machines. During the exchange, he expressed that he gained a lot and would bring more of their research information for further communication with the Laundry and Dyeing Committee. Upon learning that the second China International Laundry Festival will be held in August this year and that the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee will organize a senior inspection group to visit the JET EXPO exhibition in France in October, he showed strong interest and agreed to further communicate with the Laundry and Dyeing Committee in conjunction with these events.

In recent years, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee has placed special emphasis on exchanges and cooperation with international peers. Through multiple international events and organizing overseas inspections, it has increased foreign peers' understanding of China's laundry and dyeing industry and professionals, and has also enabled us to absorb more excellent foreign research achievements and management experience, playing a promoting role in the development of China's laundry and dyeing industry.
