On July 16, the Directors' Working Meeting of the Public Textile and Medical Textile Washing Professional Offices of the China Laundry Committee was held in Shanghai. More than 40 leaders including directors and deputy directors of the public textile and medical textile washing professional offices from across the country attended the meeting. The meeting summarized the work of the first Public Textile Washing Professional Office of the China Laundry Committee, reviewed the group standard "Design Specification for Public Textile Washing Factories," and discussed the work plans for the two offices in the future.

The meeting began with a work report from Guo Jidong, the Executive Deputy Director of the first Public Textile Washing Professional Office of the China Laundry Committee. The report summarized that over the past five years, the Public Textile Office has worked in coordination with the China Laundry Committee, accomplishing a great deal. This included organizing industry exchange activities, conducting industry research, responding to technical inquiries, cooperating with media to promote positive knowledge and guidance, and organizing the formulation of relevant industry standards, greatly promoting the development of the public textile washing field.

Subsequently, the attending leaders jointly reviewed the group standard "Design Specification for Public Textile Washing Factories" (draft for discussion) to be submitted for approval. Everyone expressed that this standard document comprehensively regulates environmental design, process design, electrical requirements, HVAC requirements, power requirements, landscaping layout, and other aspects of washing factory design. It is a highly practical standard document, and they hope it will be published and implemented soon after minor adjustments to specific indicators and other content.
Afterwards, Pan Wei, Director of the China Laundry Committee, delivered a speech titled "Some Thoughts on the Next Steps for the Public Textile Office and Medical Textile Office." He said that the leadership structure of the two offices was established through soliciting opinions from multiple parties and appointments based on applications. With the deepening of work and industry development, the China Laundry Committee will timely supplement the leadership teams of the two offices to include more outstanding entrepreneurs from the industry, working together for the development of public and medical textile undertakings. He said the new Public Textile and Medical Textile Offices can focus on in-depth work in areas such as inspections and exchanges, standard formulation, talent training, technical competitions, enterprise certification, and industry research, fully leveraging the association's platform and linkage role to help washing and dyeing enterprises achieve comprehensive improvements in operation and management, and provide practical professional advice to relevant government departments.

At the end of the event, an exchange banquet was held. Experts from the public textile and medical textile washing fields across the country fully communicated at the banquet, bringing the entire meeting to a climax. The event was strongly supported by Shanghai Weishi Machinery Co., Ltd. and other units.
On July 17, the directors of the two offices also jointly attended the "2018 (3rd) China Public Textile Washing Summit Forum" event, where they received appointment letters representing responsibility and honor amid warm applause.
