Two new standards for the laundry and dyeing industry have been approved by the Ministry of Commerce.

According to the "Administrative Measures for Standardization in the Business Sector (Trial)" and the "Management Specifications for the Formulation and Revision Process of Circulation Industry Standards (Trial)", after project application and approval, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "2013 First Batch of Domestic Trade Industry Standard Project Plans". Among them, the two industry standards "Clothing Mending Specification" and "Care Specification for Smooth Leather Garments" submitted by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce were approved and established by the Ministry of Commerce. The Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce will work together with the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee to organize the formulation and related work of these two standards. According to the plan, these two standards will complete the drafting work by the end of the year.
