Year-end good news from the government. Starting from New Year's Day next year, multiple social security lines in Beijing, including the basic pension for enterprise retirees, the minimum wage standard for enterprises, the basic pension for residents, and welfare pensions, will be raised. The new standards will benefit nearly 3 million citizens.
Basic pension for enterprise retirees increased
According to the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, starting January 1 next year, Beijing will raise the basic pension for enterprise retirees. The specific adjustment plan needs to be approved by the relevant national departments before being announced to the public. Reporters learned that the principle of pension adjustment is to moderately favor those who retired earlier, are older, have relatively low pension insurance benefits, and those with "senior professional technical positions."
Welfare pension increased to 310 yuan per month
Starting January 1 next year, Beijing residents' "basic pension" and "welfare pension" will each increase by 32.5 yuan per month. The basic pension will be adjusted from 357.5 yuan per person per month to 390 yuan, and the welfare pension from 277.5 yuan per person per month to 310 yuan, with increases of 9.1% and 11.7% respectively.
Enterprise minimum monthly wage increased by 140 yuan
Starting January 1 next year, Beijing's "minimum wage standard" will be adjusted from the current 1,260 yuan per month to 1,400 yuan, an increase of 140 yuan, or 11.1%. At the same time, the minimum hourly wage for part-time employees will increase from 14 yuan to 15.2 yuan; the minimum hourly wage for part-time employees on statutory holidays will increase from 33 yuan to 36.6 yuan.
Unemployment insurance increased by 50 yuan per tier
Starting January 1 next year, Beijing will also raise the "unemployment insurance benefits." The adjustment standard is an average increase of 50 yuan per tier on the current basis, a growth of 5.6%. The one-time living allowance standard for "rural contract workers" will be adjusted from the current 678 yuan per month to 728 yuan, an increase of 50 yuan, or 7.4%.
Reporters learned that currently about 25,000 people in the city receive unemployment insurance benefits monthly. The adjusted unemployment insurance standards are: for those with cumulative contribution time of 1 year but less than 5 years, the monthly unemployment insurance payment standard is 892 yuan; for 5 years but less than 10 years, 919 yuan; for 10 years but less than 15 years, 946 yuan; for 15 years but less than 20 years, 973 yuan; and for 20 years or more, 1,001 yuan per month.
Disability allowance increased by 293 yuan per person per month
Next year, Beijing will continue to adjust "work injury insurance fixed benefits" such as disability allowance, survivor's pension for dependents, and nursing fees, benefiting 12,000 injured workers. The disability allowance will increase by 293 yuan per person per month, reaching 3,092 yuan; the survivor's pension for dependents will increase by 150 yuan per person per month, reaching 1,776 yuan; nursing fees will be adjusted after the 2012 average wage for workers is announced.
