The 2013 National Quality Service Activity Leadership Group Member Work Meeting for the Commercial Service Industry, led by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by the China General Chamber of Commerce, was held on the afternoon of December 24 in Beijing. Deputy Director Wan Lianpo and Director Peng Kequan of the Department of Service Trade and Commercial Service Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, Vice President Wang Min and Minister Zhang Lijun of the China General Chamber of Commerce, Director Wang Shuyuan of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, as well as leaders from the China Culinary Association, China Hotel Association, China Hairdressing and Beauty Association, China Portrait Photography Society, China Household Service Industry Association, China Household Appliance Service and Maintenance Association, and the Bathing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed to summarize the quality service activities carried out in 2012, vigorously promote and continue to deepen the quality service activities in 2013. Minister Zhang Lijun of the Industry Department of the China General Chamber of Commerce presided over the meeting and gave a detailed presentation on the 2013 quality service activities: "The theme of the 2013 quality service activities is 'Serving the public with heart-to-heart care, serving society with solid actions.' The activity period is set from February 15 to December 31, 2013. This year's quality service activities will be deeply carried out around the 'Six Ones': 'Focus on characteristics and practicality, design one theme; share ideas, compare contributions, innovate one service; establish a sustainable and influential advanced model; improve skills and practice, organize one competition; advocate energy saving and promote environmental protection, implement one ecological civilization activity; emphasize dedication and care for people's livelihood, carry out one public welfare activity.'"
Director Wang Shuyuan emphasized in her speech the Laundry and Dyeing Committee's work ideas around the 2013 quality service activities: "We need to further promote the construction of the industry standard system, plan, draft, and publicize industry standards; strengthen industry training and exchange work, using the national vocational qualification training and assessment for 'Laundry Worker' and 'Leather Care Worker' as a starting point, continue to advance vocational skills training in the industry, and carry out various forms of domestic and international exchange activities; promote brand building and technological transformation, strengthen research on the industry's basic situation and the promotion and application of energy-saving and environmentally friendly laundry and dyeing equipment in the industry, and drive brand system construction through enterprise integrity service; organize large-scale activities to build quality platforms for enterprises, and successfully hold the 'Second China International Laundry Festival' series of activities focusing on quality service."
Deputy Director Wan Lianpo of the Department of Service Trade and Commercial Service Industry of the Ministry of Commerce pointed out in his speech: "Implementing standards is the most important content of the 2013 quality service activities in the commercial service industry. The management measures for eight major industries will be fully revised next year, focusing on the effective implementation of various standards and management measures. Industry planning must keep pace with the times." Finally, he especially emphasized: "With the two festivals approaching, please convey to enterprises through associations to pay attention to production labor and service safety, and have a safe and sound holiday."
