Revision work for the management measures of the laundry and dyeing industry has been initiated

The "Laundry Industry Management Measures" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"), jointly formulated by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce and issued by the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and the State Environmental Protection Administration, has been officially implemented since July 1, 2007. It has effectively promoted the healthy and orderly development of the laundry industry, regulated laundry service behaviors, effectively protected the legitimate rights and interests of operators and consumers, and reduced environmental pollution.
However, with social progress and industry development, some provisions have become unsuitable for current needs. Therefore, the Ministry of Commerce recently authorized the Laundry Committee and the National Laundry Standards Committee to organize revisions. They are currently soliciting opinions from relevant industry associations, enterprises, and experts, and plan to hold a seminar on the revision of the "Measures" in early June to make the revised "Measures" more scientific and easier to implement. The revision work is expected to be completed by the end of October 2013.
