The National Vocational Skills Competition Technical Work Seminar, organized by the Employment Training Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, was held at the Tibet Hotel in Beijing. Liu Dan, Deputy Director of the Vocational Ability Construction Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security; Yuan Fang, Deputy Inspector of the Technical Guidance Center; and Liu Xinchang, Researcher of the Qualification Division of the Vocational Ability Department attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Jia Wei, Director of the Competition Division of the Technical Guidance Center. Feng Jinna, Deputy Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce and Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the 8th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition Organizing Committee, also participated in the meeting.
Subsequently, Deputy Inspector Yuan Fang summarized the work of the 2012 National Vocational Skills Competition and deployed the work for the 2013 National Vocational Skills Competition. She said: In 2012, 16 million people in China participated in the National Vocational Skills Competition activities, including 1.6 million in Beijing, making outstanding contributions to the training and selection of technical talents in our country. In 2013, competition organizers from provinces, cities, and industry associations should build on existing achievements, learn from international competition experiences, continuously innovate, enrich mechanisms, and promote the development of competition activities. Then, Researcher Liu Xinchang and several colleagues respectively introduced the experiences gained in organizing domestic and participating in international competitions.
The convening of the National Vocational Skills Competition Technical Work Seminar is a wind vane for this year's vocational skills competition activities in our country. Through meeting exchanges and mutual learning of experiences, it will play a promoting role in the successful hosting of the 8th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition.
