Recently, the "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" and "Clothing Washing Quality Requirements" standards, jointly proposed, approved, and drafted by the China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee (referred to as "Laundry Committee") and the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee (referred to as "National Laundry Standards Committee"), have been approved and issued, and will be officially implemented in the industry on November 1, 2013.
The "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" (SB/T 10988—2013) was jointly drafted by the Laundry Committee, National Laundry Standards Committee, associations from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Dalian, and Guangdong Tiantian Laundry Chain Co., Ltd. The standard is divided into five levels, each specifying the basic requirements for business premises, service facilities, business management, service norms, and technical capabilities that laundry shops should possess. It aims to improve the service and management level of China's laundry industry, build industry brands, and enhance market competitiveness.
The "Clothing Washing Quality Requirements" (SB/T 10989—2013) was jointly drafted by the Laundry Committee, National Laundry Standards Committee, Beijing Laundry Industry Association, and Guangdong Tiantian Laundry Chain Co., Ltd. The standard regulates multiple requirements such as the appearance, color, hand feel, cleanliness, and hygiene indicators of clothing after washing. It establishes a unified standard to regulate and improve clothing washing quality, providing an important basis for future determination of washing quality and reducing washing disputes.
Currently, the Laundry Committee and the National Laundry Standards Committee are working intensively on developing evaluation standards for central laundry factories. Additionally, the implementation details for the evaluation of the "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" are also being formulated, with the work expected to start by the end of this year.
