On the morning of April 12, 2013, the inaugural meeting of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee was held in Guangzhou. Director Sun Hua of the Service Industry Standards Department of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee and Secretary-General of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, Wang Houzeng, Executive Deputy Director of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, Zhang Dingkang, Deputy Director of the Standardization Department of Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau, Lu Zhiji, President of Guangzhou Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association and Deputy Director of the National Laundry Standardization Committee, Zhang Ruxi, President of Guangdong Standardization Association, as well as members Wang Xueren, Zhang Junliang, Shi Jianrong, Xia Xiaoyun, Wang Jidong, Chen Tao, Chen Xiongbin, Wen Weidong, Li Kangming, Liao Guoying, and more than one hundred representatives from member units of the Guangzhou Laundry and Dyeing Association attended the meeting.
The inaugural meeting was presided over by President Zhang Ruxi. At the meeting, Director Sun Hua read out the "Approval on the Establishment of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC520/SC1)", and issued "Member Certificates of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee" to all members.
Secretary-General Pan Wei, on behalf of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, congratulated the establishment of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services, expressed gratitude for the contributions made by the Guangdong Standardization Association and Guangdong Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association to the standardization construction of the laundry and dyeing industry over the years, emphasized the need to fully leverage the role of the Laundry and Dyeing Services SC, and stressed the importance of not only establishing standards but also implementing them. He put forward several hopes for the next steps: first, to accelerate the improvement of internal work mechanisms and clarify work relationships; second, to scientifically establish the standard framework and carry out standard formulation work in a planned manner; third, to strengthen the construction of the standardization team to ensure work quality; fourth, to be brave in learning from innovation, adopting advanced foreign standards to promote our standardization construction.
Deputy Director Zhang Dingkang also delivered a speech at the meeting on the necessity of establishing the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, and expressed strong support for the future work of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services.
At the subsequent first working meeting, the members voted to approve the "Articles of Association of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee", the "Work Rules of the Secretariat of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee", and the "Financial Management Measures of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee."
The first Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services of the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee consists of 17 members, with Lu Zhiji serving as Chairman, Ren Fengmei as Deputy Chairman, Zhang Ruxi as member and Secretary-General, and Shi Jianrong as member and Deputy Secretary-General. The Secretariat of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services is jointly undertaken by the Guangdong Standardization Association and the Guangdong Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association, with the office located at the Guangdong Standardization Association. The Guangdong Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau is responsible for the daily management of the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services, and the Ministry of Commerce, through the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee, is responsible for providing business guidance to the Sub-Technical Committee on Laundry and Dyeing Services.
