Sea Lion Group Holds Medical Laundry Development Seminar

On March 25, 2013, Jiangsu Haishi Group held a medical laundry development seminar at its headquarters in Zhangjiagang to discuss trends, standards, and solutions in medical laundry. More than 100 industry professionals from across the country attended the meeting. Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee; Wang Dan, Secretary-General of the Laundry Equipment Branch of the China Light Industry Machinery Association; and Wang Xueren, President of the Beijing Laundry Industry Association, attended and delivered speeches. The meeting was hosted by Wu Shixin, General Manager of Haishi Group.
The meeting began with a welcome speech by Mr. Chen Youqing, former Chairman of Haishi Group. He said: "Thank you to colleagues in the laundry industry for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this seminar. Haishi Group's development over the years has been supported and helped by colleagues in the laundry industry. Haishi Group will live up to expectations, continue to innovate technology, improve services, and develop equipment such as the Laundry Dragon, representing the advanced level of China's laundry industry, to give back to new and old customers." Then, Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation Laundry Committee, delivered a speech. He said: "The washing of medical textiles is an important part of the laundry industry, but there is still a large gap between our country and developed countries in this regard. Nearly ten experts will give professional presentations at this seminar, all of whom are experts and entrepreneurs with significant achievements in medical textile washing technology or management. We hope you can uncover the research results, share them with everyone, share with the industry, and thus guide industry enterprises to progress together."

This medical laundry seminar was guided mainly by the principles of reform, sharing, and development. It discussed medical laundry from multiple aspects including equipment, medical and health care, laundry standards, enterprise management, laundry methods, and RFID technology application, covering the entire chain of medical laundry production and operation. Wang Ming, Deputy General Manager of Haishi Group, delivered a speech titled "Application of Laundry Dragon in Medical Laundry," introducing the use of Laundry Dragon in medical laundry; Zhong Xiuling, a national-level expert from the Coal General Hospital, shared her years of research experience on the relationship between medical textiles and infection control; Huang Haibin, General Manager of the China region of the German Heinstein Institute, introduced global laundry requirements and the RAL standard for professional textile care based on standards and their development history in Europe and other foreign regions; Zheng Yongxiang, Chairman of Shanghai Jingxi Laundry Company, shared and exchanged experiences with attendees on hospital laundry and leasing operations using his company as a case study; Wei Hao, General Manager of Shanghai Kaiting Detergent Company, discussed how to effectively use detergents and laundry hygiene systems for public linen based on detergent development; the Domestic Business Department Head of Shanghai Yapu Technology Company introduced the advantages of effective RFID use in medical laundry through multiple application cases of RFID in medical textile washing. 
On the afternoon of the 25th, participants visited Haishi Group's equipment production workshop, watched live demonstrations of equipment such as Laundry Dragon and drying units, toured the equipment manufacturing workshop, and held a discussion session. On the morning of the 26th, Haishi Group also organized all participants to visit two representative medical laundry service companies in Shanghai: Shanghai Shicao Laundry Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jingxi Laundry Co., Ltd.
