On January 25, 2013, at the invitation of the Beijing TV Science and Education Channel's "Direct Access to Scientific Research Station" program team, the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee participated in the recording of the program "What You Don't Know About Dry Cleaning," educating consumers about laundry knowledge and dispelling misconceptions about dry cleaning. Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee, recorded the on-site segment, while Xu Fajiang, an expert in China's laundry industry, served as an off-site expert, introducing the process of receiving and washing clothes at laundry shops.
The program "What You Don't Know About Dry Cleaning" mainly focuses on problems consumers encounter during washing. It addresses common tips for identifying dry-cleaned clothes found online and in daily life (tissue paper method, foam plastic method, oil drop writing method) through live experiments, verifying each one. During the experiments, Deputy Director Pan Wei introduced consumers to the principles and characteristics of dry cleaning and explained the practical applicability of these tips in daily life.

Xu Fajiang, an expert in China's laundry industry and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Funait Laundry Service Co., Ltd., served as an off-site expert, introducing consumers to the service process of laundry shops, the working principles of washing equipment, and which types of clothes are suitable for dry cleaning and which are suitable for water washing.
At the end of the program, Deputy Director Pan Wei advised consumers to choose qualified and standardized laundry shops when selecting a laundry service. Whether the clothes are qualified after washing depends not on choosing dry cleaning or water washing, but on whether the washing effect meets relevant standards. Whether choosing dry cleaning or water washing, the ultimate goal is to clean the clothes thoroughly. In 2013, China will release the "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" to classify and grade laundry shops, providing consumers with more choices and better services. This episode is expected to be broadcast this week.
