Message from the Senior Expert of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee in 2013

On January 11th, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee organized a gathering of deputy directors and experts in Beijing to celebrate this joyous moment of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new year. At the fellowship meeting, Pan Fuzeng, an expert from the Expert Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee, wrote a couplet with brush and ink:
A measure of autumn dew cleanses the heart,
The endless green of spring mountains dyes the eyes.
Then, experts Wu Jingmiao and Li Guangze also recited couplets and short poems they created for industry friends, showcasing their literary talents and demonstrating the artistic sentiments of laundry and dyeing people. Here, we share them with everyone.
Upper line: The jade dragon soars as the divine land begins anew,
Lower line: The golden snake dances wildly as China renews all things.

The ticking of the clock,
Is the footsteps of time pressing on the heart,
Who can hold back,
These hurried departing steps.
Gently close the door of memory,
Those past events—
Happy, troubled,
All lie quietly sleeping in the arms...
Gently plant memories in the garden of time,
Waiting for the morning,
To unfold green leaves,
And bloom bright flowers.
I know,
Every kind of waiting will pierce through the night,
Every kind of hope,
Will surely bloom with a smiling face in the sunlight.
Who poured this aged wine of time,
Whose smile fills the splendid hall,
Who drinks the fragrance of life,
Who sings the joyful song of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new.
The swallow from the south is on its way,
The aroma of wine guides to last year's doorstep,
Green willow buds awaken from dreams,
Also wanting to taste the happiness of the new year.
How many splendid dreams,
Sprout in the first ray of morning light in 2013,
The colorful brilliance of life,
Makes one's heart surge with emotion.
Toast to the new year,
Make the days ahead more mellow,
Embrace the new year,
Let the boat of life sail safely and far.
Couplet:
Upper line: The jade dragon swings its tail to bid farewell to the old year,
Lower line: The golden snake raises its head to celebrate the new spring.
