The approval meeting for two industry standards including "Clothing Washing Quality Requirements" was held in Beijing

The approval meetings for the two standards "Laundry Shop Grading Evaluation" and "Clothing Washing Quality Requirements," applied for by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce to the Ministry of Commerce, were held today in Beijing. Attendees included Liang Zhaoshan, Researcher of the Trade Service Department of the Ministry of Commerce; Pan Wei, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Laundry Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce; Wang Houzeng, Executive Deputy Director of the Laundry Committee; Wang Xueren, President of the Beijing Laundry Industry Association; Chen Qijun, President of the Tianjin Laundry Industry Association; and several enterprise experts.
The meeting was chaired by Pan Wei, Secretary-General of the Laundry Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce. Researcher Liang Zhaoshan put forward requirements for the formulation of industry standards and specific approval work, and participated in the review and revision of the two standards. The meeting elected Wang Xueren, President of the Beijing Laundry Association, as the head of the review group, who organized the review. At the meeting, experts reviewed the content of the two standards chapter by chapter and article by article, proposed amendments, and unanimously agreed that the two standards referenced relevant domestic and international standards and norms, the writing format complies with GB/T1.1—2009 regulations, and they possess strong scientific validity, advancement, and operability. Among them, "Laundry Shop Grading Evaluation" classifies laundry shops from five aspects: business premises, service facilities, business management, service norms, and technical strength. Its future promulgation and implementation will greatly promote the improvement of service and business levels in China's laundry industry, build industry brands, and enhance market competitiveness.
The Secretariat of the Laundry Professional Committee will further revise, supplement, and improve the standard text based on the experts' discussion and amendment suggestions at the meeting, prepare the approval draft and related materials, and complete the approval procedures with the Ministry of Commerce according to the process.
