1. Wash with one water basin until the end
Some people, to save water when doing laundry, usually wash underwear first, then outerwear, and then socks and other miscellaneous items, using one basin of water until the end, which becomes dirty and black. Although this ensures partial cleanliness of some clothes, the clothes washed last are heavily contaminated. Especially mixing socks with women's underwear is more harmful and can cause female genital diseases.
2. Not cleaning the washing machine for a long time
Some households never clean their washing machines; as long as it can spin, they keep washing. The inner wall of the drainage area accumulates lint and dirt, breeding many viruses and bacteria. During the washing process, these dirt and bacteria will contaminate the clothes.
3. Excessive use of detergent
Many people think clothes are too dirty or that detergent is cheap, so they often use too much detergent. However, with insufficient rinsing time, detergent often remains on the clothes. Most detergents are alkylbenzene compounds, which can irritate the skin and affect liver function.
4. Washing all clothes together
Some people, for convenience, put all the clothes they changed into the washing machine together. During the washing machine's stirring and friction process, bacteria, colors, and shed fibers on the clothes inevitably contaminate each other. Clothes taken to dry cleaners are even more complex, including those of healthy people, sick people, and possibly infectious patients.
Safety Hazards
1. Electric shock hazard: Do not pull the power cord forcefully to unplug; do not plug/unplug with wet hands.
2. Explosion hazard: Washing clothes containing solvents can easily cause explosion hazards; if there is no special down jacket washing program, using the washing machine to wash down jackets can easily cause explosions.
3. Burn hazard: During high-temperature washing, the glass door of the washer-dryer drum can become very hot, posing a burn risk; be careful of burns when the machine drains hot water.
4. Injury hazard: If the machine is still spinning, do not touch the inner drum; the high-speed rotating drum can easily cause hand injuries.
