How to deal with rust stains accidentally rubbed on clothes? Here are some tips for you:
1. Wipe the stain with a 15% acetic acid solution (15% tartaric acid solution can also be used), or soak the stained part in the solution, then rinse with clean water the next day.
2. Moisten the stained area with a 10% citric acid solution or 10% oxalic acid solution, then soak it in concentrated salt water, and wash and rinse the next day.
3. For white cotton and cotton blend fabrics stained with rust, take a small amount of oxalic acid (available at pharmacies), place it on the stain, drip some warm water, gently rub, then rinse immediately with clean water. But be sure to act quickly to avoid corrosion.
4. The simplest method: if you have fresh lemon, squeeze its juice onto the rust stain and rub with your hand repeatedly until the rust stain is removed, then wash with soapy water.
