Cleverly Washing Juice Stains:
Fresh stains can be wiped with concentrated brine, or immediately sprinkle salt on the stain, rub gently by hand, moisten with water, then soak in detergent solution to wash clean. You can also use warm water and soap to scrub strongly.
For removing heavy and old stains, first neutralize the organic acids in the juice with 5% ammonia solution, then wash with detergent. For wool-containing synthetic blends, tartaric acid can be used for cleaning.
If the fabric is white, add a few drops of ammonia to 3% hydrogen peroxide, use a cotton ball or cloth soaked in this solution to moisten the stained area, then wipe with a clean cloth and air dry in the shade.
Peach juice stains contain high-valence iron, so oxalic acid solution can be used to remove them. For persimmon stains, immediately rub with wine and concentrated brine, then wash with warm detergent solution and rinse with clean water.
Tomato sauce can be scraped off when dry, then washed with warm detergent. Jam can be moistened with water, scrubbed with shampoo, then washed with soap alcohol solution and rinsed with clean water.
Cleaning Rust Stains:
Do you often encounter this during housework? Take a fresh lemon, squeeze its juice onto the rust stain, rub by hand repeatedly until the rust stain is removed, then wash clean with soapy water.
Cleaning Iodine Stains:
For iodine stains, first moisten and rub with starch (starch turns black immediately upon contact with iodine), then gently wash off with soapy water.
Light iodine stains can be treated with hot water or alcohol, or rubbed with potassium iodide solution. For heavy stains, soak in a warm 15-20% baking soda solution for about 2 hours, then rinse with clean water.
