Laundry Tip 1
Concentrate clothes to wash in one tub of water with detergent and wash several batches continuously. Laundry powder can be added appropriately. After all are washed, rinse them one by one. This can save electricity, water, and washing time. It is estimated that if each person in the country reduces laundry powder use by 0.5 kg per year, the country can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 480,000 tons and save 186,000 tons of standard coal energy annually.
Laundry Tip 2
The washing machine's "Standard Wash" saves more electricity. For the same length of washing cycle, the "Gentle" mode reverses the impeller more times than the "Standard" mode, causing the motor to start repeatedly. The motor starting current is 5 to 7 times the rated current, so "Gentle Wash" actually consumes more electricity.
Laundry Tip 3
Dehydration time within 2 minutes. After washing, dehydration within 2 minutes is sufficient. At a spin speed of 1680 rpm, dehydrating for one minute can reach a dehydration rate of 55%. Extending the time only slightly improves the dehydration rate.
Laundry Tip 4
Reuse rinse water. The water used for rinsing can be reused as washing water for the next laundry or used for mopping the floor.
Laundry Tip 5
Wash by color, light first then dark. Separate clothes of different colors when using the washing machine. This not only cleans better but also washes faster, shortening the time by 1 to 3 minutes compared to washing mixed colors together.
Laundry Tip 6
Rated capacity of items to be washed. If the washing load is too small, with too few clothes or water level too high, friction between clothes decreases, which prolongs washing time and wastes electricity. Conversely, washing too many clothes at once not only increases washing time but also causes motor overload, increasing electricity consumption and risking motor damage.
Laundry Tip 7
Moderate water volume is very important. Too much water in the washing machine increases the water pressure on the pulsator, burdening the motor and increasing electricity consumption; too little water increases the up-and-down movement of clothes during washing, prolonging washing time and increasing electricity consumption.
Laundry Tip 8
Try to use phosphate-free laundry powder. When adding laundry powder, use an appropriate amount and choose phosphate-free powder to reduce the discharge of phosphorus-containing detergents.
Laundry Tip 9
Choosing an electric iron. Purchase a temperature-adjustable electric iron with a power of 500 watts or 700 watts. Such irons heat up quickly and automatically cut off power when reaching the set temperature, saving electricity and ensuring ironing quality.
Laundry Tip 10
Time-sharing ironing. At the initial power-on stage, iron clothes that tolerate lower temperatures first. After the temperature rises, iron clothes that tolerate higher temperatures. After power off, use residual heat to iron some lower-temperature-tolerant clothes. This saves electricity.
