The Ministry of Water Resources announces the national mature and applicable water-saving technology promotion catalog for washing equipment

On November 16, 2020, the Ministry of Water Resources and the National Government Offices Administration Bureau officially released the announcement on the publication of the National Mature and Applicable Water-saving Technology Promotion Catalogue (2020). This was to implement the water-saving priority policy, fulfill the goals and tasks of the "National Water-saving Action Plan," strengthen the leadership of water-saving technological innovation, and promote the conservation and intensive use of water resources. The Ministry of Water Resources and the National Government Offices Administration Bureau jointly collected water-saving technologies in fields such as washing equipment, sanitary ware, and central air conditioning. After expert review and online public consultation, the final "National Mature and Applicable Water-saving Technology Promotion Catalogue (2020)" was formed. Among them, 5 mature technologies from 4 units in the washing equipment field were included in the promotion catalogue (see table).
On August 18, 2020, the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce issued a "Notice on Collecting National Mature and Applicable Water-saving Technologies in the Laundry Industry" to the industry, soliciting related mature technologies. Ultimately, 7 enterprises applied with 9 technologies recommended to the Ministry of Water Resources for evaluation. During the subsequent expert review process, Director Pan Wei of the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce attended expert meetings twice and reviewed the related technologies together with relevant experts from the Ministry of Water Resources. Finally, 5 technologies applied by Jiangsu Haishi Machinery Co., Ltd., Shanghai Weishi Machinery Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hangxing Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd., and Qingdao Haier Washing Machine Co., Ltd. were included in the National Mature and Applicable Water-saving Technology Promotion Catalogue.
The Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce has been committed for many years to promoting energy-saving and consumption-reducing washing equipment, leading the laundry industry towards healthy, green, and sustainable development. In the future, it will continue to promote more excellent washing equipment both inside and outside the industry.
