Welcome everyone to Beijing, China, to attend the 50th International Laundry and Dyeing Conference in 2009, celebrating the 50th anniversary.
The annual International Laundry and Dyeing Conference brings together industry professionals and friends from related fields to exchange ideas and discuss the textile care industry, achieving globalization in the realm of ideas. Usually, the conference is held in the host country of its chairman. These locations often reflect the local social civilization and cultural history well, but this year is different from previous years.
The association first held the event in Tokyo, Japan, in 1959, so it is appropriate to invite Japanese staff to co-organize this 50th anniversary conference. Upon accepting this task, our chairman and his organizing committee, with the profound vision of the association's early founders, unanimously agreed that this historical milestone of the laundry and dyeing association should be passed on to China's textile care industry. Therefore, after discussions with the China Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, it was unanimously agreed that the conference venue would be Beijing.
Subsequently, Chairman Junichi Kato and his Japanese organizing team worked closely with the China Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee to arrange the conference schedule. Meanwhile, the highlight of this conference is the speeches, through which you will gain a good understanding of China's history and cultural characteristics. For this, we sincerely thank all the personnel involved in organizing this conference. It is your time, effort, and financial support that have made this conference a success.
Our industry has always had a global impact and is connected with industries worldwide. They use the same machines, the same solvents, and work procedures, and importantly, clean the same types of clothes. Therefore, not only have the problems to be solved become globalized, but the solutions have also become globalized. This is the value of the International Laundry and Dyeing Conference, enabling all parties to exchange ideas and innovate concepts through this event.
We firmly believe that through this year's efforts, our relationship with China's textile care industry will become closer. At the same time, we hope the International Laundry and Dyeing Association will become more influential in Asia, this new region, as well as other continents, Africa and Northern Europe. This will be the beginning of a new era, not the end of this era.
At the same time, during this 2009 International Laundry and Dyeing Conference, you will experience a wealth of information and enjoyment. Therefore, please take a little time out of your busy schedule to enjoy the friendship brought to you by this conference, and let us reignite the spirit and purpose of the International Laundry and Dyeing Conference once again.
