2018 Work Highlights

To all member units of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, local laundry and dyeing industry associations, and related enterprises and institutions in the laundry and dyeing industry:

In 2018, the work of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as "CCF Laundry Committee") will be based on thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, following the overall deployment of the Ministry of Commerce for the development of the national commercial service industry, and combined with the 2018 work plan of the China Commercial Federation, to carry out the following tasks:

1. Strengthen standardization work and promote standardized development of the industry

1. Complete the initiation, formulation, and approval of standards with high quality. Conduct research and demonstration for new standards to improve the scientific nature of new national and industry standard project applications; earnestly complete the formulation of the Ministry of Commerce's 2017 standard project plans including "Service Quality Evaluation of Public Textile Laundry Plants," "Service Quality Evaluation of Leather Care Specialty Stores," and newly approved standard projects.

2. According to the spirit of the "Group Standard Management Regulations (Trial)" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the National Standardization Management Committee, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of industry enterprises for standardization work, vigorously develop group standards, and improve the industry's standardization system.

3. Promote the implementation of published standards. According to the requirements of the Ministry of Commerce, complete the revision of the "Laundry Industry Management Measures" and implement it; improve the implementation rules for "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions," and pilot the laundry shop compliance evaluation work combined with international certification projects.

4. Earnestly perform the secretariat duties of the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee (referred to as "Laundry Standards Committee"). Complete the re-election of the Laundry Standards Committee, improve related systems, and fully leverage the roles of the Laundry Standards Committee and its sub-technical committees.

2. Innovate training methods and improve training quality

Adapt to the reform of the national vocational qualification appraisal work, actively explore new methods of vocational skills education and training, making talent cultivation more aligned with industry development.

1. Within the basic framework of laundry-related occupations in the "National Occupational Classification Dictionary," further refine the training work of existing occupational types. Develop new professional skills training programs to enhance the pertinence and practicality of professional skills.

2. Cooperate with the China Commercial Federation Commercial Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center and related departments and institutions to conduct industry skills training and assessment for mature projects such as "Laundry Worker" and "Leather Care Worker"; develop and conduct training and assessment for occupational standards and related teaching material question banks for "Luxury Goods Appraiser" and "Darning Worker."

3. Innovate training methods by attempting to hold intensive training classes focused on effectively improving practical skills to cultivate technical backbones.

4. Strengthen management of authorized training centers and standardize training behaviors. Fully utilize social and enterprise training resources to carry out cooperative training.

3. Carry out excellence promotion activities to help outstanding brands grow

1. In conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce and the China Commercial Federation's "2018 National Commercial Service Industry Quality Service Activities," organize the biennial "China Laundry Industry Excellence Promotion Activities" of the CCF Laundry Committee. Carefully design and actively promote the 2018 selection and evaluation of advanced individuals and excellent enterprises (brands) such as "China Laundry Industry Well-known Brands," "China Laundry Industry Person of the Year," "China Laundry Industry Rising Star Award," "China Laundry Industry Standard Work Contribution Award," "National Laundry Industry Meritorious Person," "National Laundry Industry Outstanding Contributor," "National Laundry Industry Excellent Manager," "National Laundry Industry Innovative Person," and "National Laundry Industry Trusted Products."

2. Increase publicity for famous and excellent brands. Through holding the "4th China Laundry Industry Awards Ceremony" and other series of activities, mobilize associations and related media to comprehensively and effectively publicize the brand stories and advanced deeds of excellent brands and advanced individuals, enhance the honor and sense of mission of awardees, build well-known brands in the Chinese laundry industry, and promote standardized industry development.

4. Successfully organize exhibitions to build a high-quality display platform for domestic and foreign laundry industries

The "China International Laundry Industry Exhibition" is an exhibition guided and supported by the Ministry of Commerce. Due to its professionalism and influence, it has become a well-known international laundry industry exhibition. The 2018 "19th China International Laundry Industry Exhibition" is scheduled to be held from July 18 to 20 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, covering an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters. The CCF Laundry Committee will closely cooperate with Guangdong Xinzhilian Exhibition Company, highlight themes of environmental protection, automation, intelligence, and finishing, gather well-known domestic and foreign laundry equipment and laundry service brands, organically combine with industry award ceremonies and summit forums, and make the exhibition the largest laundry industry event since its inception 19 years ago.

5. Conduct industry research and gradually establish an industry data statistics and analysis system

1. Conduct in-depth research and baseline surveys on the industry's basic situation to provide objective basis for government departments, enterprises, and capital markets' decision-making. Study and formulate the laundry industry data statistics work plan, broaden data acquisition channels, and gradually establish a national laundry industry data statistics and analysis system.

2. Utilize the role of the "Laundry Industry Development Research Office" to strengthen research on industry development trends, forming industry development reports with comprehensive and objective information, scientific research judgments, and integrated advanced international perspectives and experience, to guide industry development.

3. Leverage the interactive and traffic advantages of WeChat public platforms and online platforms, innovate research methods, and facilitate data provision.

6. Utilize expert roles to provide consulting services and dispute mediation

1. Integrate and upgrade the expert team to effectively utilize experts in service consulting and professional talent training. Recruit talents with modern technical concepts and management knowledge into the expert team to improve the overall quality of experts.

2. Further standardize laundry service quality appraisal work. Make good use of the National Laundry Service Quality Appraisal Committee, strengthen cooperation with local associations nationwide, standardize appraisal procedures, improve laundry service quality appraisal and service dispute mediation capabilities; improve technical means, increase appointment acceptance channels, and accept auxiliary support from social appraisal institutions that meet standards.

7. Organize industry exchange activities to enhance international communication

Integrating domestic and international professional resources, targeting specialized needs, organizing a variety of authoritative front-end forums and exchange activities. In conjunction with local laundry and dyeing industry associations, key enterprises, and work plans, striving for precise topic selection and practical effectiveness, keeping pace with the times to promote in-depth cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises and associations, enhancing the professional level of activities, and promoting the application of new technologies and advanced management methods in the industry.

8. Strengthen the construction of the information center to improve the timeliness and coverage of information.

1. Strengthen the management of online platforms to provide timely and efficient information services for the industry and the broad consumer base. Fully utilize the roles of public online platforms such as the "China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee," "Laundry Encyclopedia (China Laundry Association)," and the "National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee" WeChat accounts, further expand coverage, increase the proportion of technical articles; improve the "China Laundry" website, making it a platform for information, technical exchange, advertising, and industry data and resource sharing in the laundry and dyeing industry.

2. Further improve the quality of the "China Laundry" journal, reform the publication and distribution model. Integrate industry talent resources, implement a responsibility-based comprehensive publication system; optimize columns and layout design, increase the proportion of technical and research articles, highlight the characteristics of a professional journal, and optimize distribution management methods.

9. Strengthen association construction to improve the level of member services.

1. Fully leverage the leading role of professional offices in their specialized fields. Complete the re-election, formation, and personnel adjustment of three professional offices: public textiles, medical textiles, and leather care. Conduct activities with professional focus and timeliness from aspects such as business guidance, standard formulation, professional seminars, and industry exchanges to address key pain points and urgent needs.

2. Establish a member information management system for the China Laundry Committee and improve member services. Implement member qualification evaluation, certification, and dynamic management of member information; clean up members who have lost contact for many years or have not fulfilled obligations; attract more outstanding organizations to join the association to improve member quality. At the same time, increase services to members, enhance their social influence, and strengthen their sense of honor and cohesion.

3. Strengthen the professional construction of the association secretariat. Combine industry training and enterprise cooperation to provide practical and theoretical professional training for secretariat staff, improve their professional quality, deepen their understanding of the industry, and enhance service quality.
