In view of the document issued by the State Council on December 8, 2016, "Decision of the State Council on Cancelling a Batch of Professional Qualification Licenses and Recognition Matters" (Guo Fa [2016] No. 68), which decided to cancel 114 professional qualification licenses and recognition matters, the "Laundry Worker" profession was included in the cancelled skill personnel professional qualification licenses and recognition. Therefore, the professional qualification certification work for Laundry Workers will no longer be certified and issued by national administrative departments. To ensure the industry's demand for skilled personnel and promote the continuous and smooth development of skill talent training in the industry, the China Commercial Federation Commercial Vocational Skill Appraisal Guidance Center (referred to as "China Commercial Vocational Appraisal") will continue to carry out the professional skill assessment work for "Laundry Workers," specifically organized and implemented by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China Commercial Federation.
In the future, the "Laundry Worker" assessment work will continue to follow the original national vocational skill appraisal work related regulations and requirements. Those who pass the assessment will be issued an "Industry Skill Certificate" by China Commercial Vocational Appraisal, with levels divided into Junior/Level 5, Intermediate/Level 4, Senior/Level 3, Technician/Level 2, and Senior Technician/Level 1, totaling five levels. The application conditions for each level refer to the "National Occupational Standard for Laundry Workers" revised in 2007. Both the theoretical knowledge exam and skill operation assessment will continue to use the original national question bank for Laundry Workers as the basis for future exam questions.
