Key Work Points of the China Commercial Federation Laundry and Dyeing Committee in 2017

To all member units of the professional committees of the laundry and dyeing industry, local laundry and dyeing industry associations, and related enterprises and institutions in the laundry and dyeing industry:

According to the spirit of the National Residents' Life Service Industry Transformation and Development Experience Exchange Conference of the Ministry of Commerce and relevant guiding opinions on the development of the laundry and dyeing industry, combined with the 2017 work plan of the China General Chamber of Commerce, the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the "Laundry Committee") has, based on a careful summary of the work in 2016, widely solicited suggestions from member units, and in line with the six major development trends of the residents' life service industry: intelligent service, integrated service, clustered service, quality service, precise service, and safe living service, formulated the key points of work for the Laundry Committee in 2017.

1. Innovate standardization work and promote the implementation of standards

Adapt to the new characteristics of standardization work, combine industry needs, strive for the establishment of national and industry standards, and strive to achieve complementarity among various types of standards including national, industry, group, local, and enterprise standards. Fully mobilize the enthusiasm of enterprises for standardization work, vigorously develop group standards, and guide enterprises to establish their own standards.

1. Complete the follow-up work of the standards that have been completed as required, and strive for the establishment of new national and industry standards. Ensure the timely completion of regulations and standard projects such as the "Laundry Industry Management Measures" that have already been established.

2. Promote the implementation of existing standards as an important part of standard work. Improve the implementation rules of the "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" standard, and carry out pilot work for laundry shop compliance evaluation; conduct publicity, education, and training activities on standards through standard knowledge competitions and organizing standard knowledge lectures.

3. Earnestly perform the secretariat duties of the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee (referred to as the "Laundry Standards Committee"), complete the personnel adjustment of the Laundry Standards Committee, and further play the role of committee members.

2. Strengthen vocational training and improve training quality

Adapt to the reform situation of the national vocational qualification appraisal work, actively explore new methods of vocational skills education and training, and make talent cultivation more in line with industry development.

1. Within the basic framework of laundry-related occupations in the "National Occupational Classification", further refine the training work of existing occupational types. Develop new professional skills training programs to enhance the pertinence and practicality of professional skills.

2. Complete the editing and publication of the "Leather Care Worker Vocational Skill Appraisal Training Manual", and actively develop new training materials to meet the needs of training and practitioners' learning.

3. Strengthen the management of authorized training centers and regulate training behavior. Make full use of social and enterprise training resources to carry out cooperative training.

3. Successfully hold large-scale events focusing on the 3rd China International Laundry Festival

The "China International Laundry Festival" was founded by the Laundry Committee in 2009, held every four years, integrating multiple high-end exchange activities in the laundry industry, and has received high attention and support from industry-related personnel and relevant national departments.

The "3rd China International Laundry Festival" is scheduled to be held in Beijing from September 24 to 28, 2017. For this festival, the Laundry Committee will cooperate with local laundry industry associations nationwide, some key enterprises, and international industry organizations. It aims to become the largest international laundry industry event in 2017 and the best platform for cooperation negotiations, brand promotion, technology dissemination, and order procurement between Chinese and foreign laundry industries. Its main activities include:

1. The 18th China International Laundry Industry Exhibition will be held from September 26 to 28, 2017, at the Old Hall of the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, with an exhibition area expected to be 15,000 square meters. Concurrently, a series of industry display activities involving leather care, public textile washing, and laundry chain franchising will also be held.

With the close cooperation of partners and the support of Chinese and foreign laundry professionals, through unremitting efforts, it aims to become an internationally leading professional laundry exhibition in the near future.

2. The 10th National Laundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition is a national-level category II competition organized by the Laundry Committee. Winners of the competition will receive the highest honor for skilled talents in China, the title of "National Technical Expert", as well as the honors of "National Commercial Service Industry Technical Expert" and "National Laundry Industry Technical Expert". The competition content includes laundry knowledge, stain removal, garment ironing, clothing mending, leather products, and shoe care.

The competition should innovate methods and improve competition rules based on previous successful experiences to make the competition fairer and more just; it should also learn from the WorldSkills Competition to integrate more international elements into this competition.

3. The World Laundry Industry Summit Forum was founded by the Laundry Committee in 2005, with participation from industry associations, enterprises, and experts from 16 countries and regions. Efforts should be made to hold the "4th World Laundry Industry Summit Forum" as an international industry conference jointly created by the Laundry Committee and laundry industry organizations from various countries.

4. Technical promotion and exchange negotiation activities for the Chinese and foreign laundry industries will run throughout the Laundry Festival. During the entire festival, relevant enterprises and groups will carry out various forms of exchange and negotiation activities based on the concept of win-win cooperation.

4. Keep in mind the association's purpose and carry out pioneering work

1. Establish a member information management system and provide good member services. Improve member data information, implement member qualification evaluation and dynamic member information management, attract more outstanding organizations to join the association, and improve member quality and social influence.

2. Increase service efforts for member units, explore new paths for association work, develop "new products", and provide high-quality services to members. Continue to strive for the application work of the China Laundry Association institution.

3. Integrate member units and industry resources, fully utilize the roles of the Public Textile Washing Office and the Leather Care Professional Office, organize the Medical Textile Washing Office, mobilize talents and enterprises from all sides, and provide more professional services for members and the industry.

4. Carry out extensive international exchanges through exhibitions, visits, standardization construction, and other forms to expand the international influence of China's laundry industry, improve the overall level of the industry, and create a good international image for Chinese-made laundry equipment.

5. Conduct industry research and gradually establish a data statistics and analysis system

Conduct basic industry surveys to provide a basis for government departments and enterprise decision-making. Study and formulate a data statistics work plan for the laundry and dyeing industry, carry out industry data statistics work step by step from easy to difficult using existing conditions, and gradually establish a national data statistics and analysis system for the laundry and dyeing industry.

Leverage the role of the "Laundry and Dyeing Industry Development Research Office" to provide comprehensive and objective information and scientific research judgments to guide industry development.

6. Utilize experts' roles to provide consulting services and dispute mediation

1. Integrate the expert team to better utilize experts in service consulting and professional talent training; strengthen the hierarchical construction of the expert team, attract more talents with modern technology and management knowledge to join the expert team, and improve the overall quality of the expert team.

2. Further standardize the laundry service quality appraisal work. Fully utilize the role of the National Laundry Service Quality Appraisal Committee, establish a professional appraisal team, cooperate with local associations nationwide and qualified institutions, and improve the ability to appraise laundry service quality and mediate service disputes.

7. Improve the information platform and enhance information effectiveness

1. Fully leverage the WeChat information platforms represented by the "China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee" and "Laundry Encyclopedia (China Laundry Association)" to further increase coverage. Improve the "China Laundry" website, making it a platform for industry news, technical exchange, advertising, industry data, and information sharing, becoming the carrier of "China Laundry Industry Big Data." Provide timely and efficient information services to the industry and the broad consumer base.

2. Further improve the publication quality of the "China Laundry" journal, integrate and optimize column design, increase the proportion of technical and research articles, highlight the characteristics of a professional journal, and strengthen distribution management.

8. Adhere to service-oriented principles and strengthen the Secretariat's construction

Improve the internal work mechanism of the Laundry Committee Secretariat, clarify responsibilities, and enhance professional quality and work efficiency. Continuously improve work methods and style, and accept supervision from members and society.
