Announcement of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (2015 No. 1), proposed and initiated by the National Laundry Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Laundry Label Committee"), and drafted by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the "Laundry Committee"), the two national industry standards "Glossy Leather Garment Care Specification" and "Clothing Mending Specification" have been approved and promulgated, and will be officially implemented in the industry on September 1, 2015.
The "Glossy Leather Garment Care Specification" (SB/T 10119-2015) was jointly drafted by Guangdong Tiantian Laundry and Washing Chain Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Finichi Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., and Beijing Yushijia Leather Care Co., Ltd. This standard specifies the service requirements, quality requirements, and packaging and storage requirements for the care of glossy leather garments, applicable to business service enterprises engaged in cleaning, maintenance, and decoration of glossy leather garments.
The "Clothing Mending Specification" (SB/T 10120-2015) was jointly drafted by the Beijing Laundry Industry Association, Shanghai Laundry Industry Association, and Guangdong Tiantian Laundry and Washing Chain Co., Ltd. The standard provides normative descriptions of clothing mending tools and mending measurement methods, and puts forward specific requirements for mending services and quality. It is applicable to various laundry and mending business activities in the laundry industry.
Currently, the standard system of China's laundry industry is not yet sound, and relevant standards such as laundry service processes and washing equipment safety are not perfect. The Laundry Label Committee will, in future work, cooperate with more outstanding enterprises in the industry to gradually improve the standard system of laundry and related industries, and work with relevant national departments and the Laundry Committee to promote the healthy and orderly development of the laundry industry.
In addition, the "Compilation of Laundry Industry Standards," jointly compiled by the Laundry Label Committee and the Laundry Committee as a tool book and reference guide for the implementation of industry standards, is expected to be printed by the end of the year. This "Compilation" includes more than 70 items such as national standards and industry standards for the national laundry industry, some local and enterprise standards, relevant laws and regulations of the laundry industry, standards and specifications related to washing machinery, and standards related to washing chemicals and auxiliaries.
