Key Work Points of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee in 2014

Members of various professional laundry and dyeing committees, local laundry and dyeing industry associations, and related enterprises and institutions in the laundry and dyeing industry:
According to the "Guiding Opinions of the Ministry of Commerce on Further Developing the Laundry and Dyeing Industry during the 12th Five-Year Plan Period", the 2014 work arrangements of the China General Chamber of Commerce, and the 2014 key work plan of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the "Laundry Committee"), combined with the opinions and suggestions formed at the "2013 China Laundry Industry Leaders Summit" and the actual industry situation, the key points of the Laundry Committee's work in 2014 have been determined.
        1. Place standardization work in a prominent position
1. Develop, improve, and implement the framework system of standards for the laundry and dyeing industry. Accelerate the formulation of new standards and the revision of some old standards. In 2014, 2-4 new industry standards and two new national standards will be completed.
2. Promote the implementation of published standards. Formulate the implementation rules for the "Laundry Shop Compliance Conditions" standard and carry out pilot work for laundry shop compliance; release the "National Laundry Industry Dispute Resolution Methods (Trial)"; cooperate with local associations nationwide to fully carry out laundry service quality appraisal work; cooperate with national commerce, environmental protection, and other departments to implement the revised "Laundry Industry Management Measures."
3. Earnestly perform the secretariat duties of the Laundry Standards Committee. Continue to implement the leadership and member changes reported in 2013, and coordinate and serve the work of the sub-technical committees.
      2. Strengthen training and professional qualification assessment work
1. Focus on the national professional qualifications of "Laundry Worker" and "Leather Care Worker" and the training and assessment of professional qualifications in the laundry industry to strengthen vocational training and assessment. At the same time, strive to include more unique professional types of the laundry industry in the national occupational classification.
2. Cooperate with relevant departments to implement the 2014 application work for the configuration of unique vocational skill appraisal stations in the laundry industry, reasonably arrange the skill appraisal stations for "Laundry Worker" and "Leather Care Worker". Assist in the management and coordination of each appraisal station.
3. Explore educational pathways for academic education and high-end talent training in the laundry industry, cultivate high-end management talents, and promote the improvement of industry management levels.
4. Complete the editing and publishing of the "Leather Care Worker Vocational Skill Appraisal Training Manual."
        3. Hold practical and effective industry exchange activities
1. Carry out various forms of domestic exchange activities. Promote exchanges and cooperation among domestic enterprises and associations through training observation, product promotion, and technical exchanges.
2. Organize international exchange and inspection activities for senior management personnel. Plan to organize outbound exchange and inspection activities themed on public textile washing and daily clothing care.
        4. Conduct industry development research and promote environmental progress in the industry
1. Conduct in-depth research on the basic situation of the industry to provide a basis for government departments and enterprise decision-making; explore the establishment of a data statistics, evaluation, and release mechanism for the laundry and dyeing industry, starting with price information statistics and release.
2. Establish a "Laundry Industry Development Research Office." Invite well-known scholars, researchers, and entrepreneurs with strong research capabilities related to the laundry industry from China and abroad as researchers to conduct research on industry development from aspects such as clothing fabrics, laundry equipment, chemicals, laundry technology, and services, aiming to provide comprehensive and objective information and scientific research judgments to lead and assist industry development.
3. Explore the feasibility of proposing a recommended directory of high-quality environmentally friendly equipment and chemicals for the laundry industry, cooperate with relevant government departments to strengthen supervision of unqualified laundry equipment and chemicals, and intensify the elimination of backward production processes and equipment with high energy consumption and pollution.
4. Strive to achieve initial results in the pilot work of the Asian environmental cooperation project launched with the International Textile Care Committee (CINET) and the European Union, and cooperate with related associations and enterprises to seek support from relevant government departments to promote environmental progress in the industry.
       5. Further standardize commendation activities to improve brand quality
1. Earnestly standardize the biennial industry commendation activities. The 2014 industry commendation activities will start in April and end in August; mainly including well-known brands in the Chinese laundry industry, outstanding managers nationwide, trustworthy products nationwide, meritorious figures nationwide, outstanding contributors nationwide, and innovative figures nationwide. The second China Laundry Industry Awards Ceremony is planned to be held during the exhibition in late September.
2. Actively participate in the national quality service activities organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the China General Chamber of Commerce, promoting the development of quality service activities in the laundry industry.
3. According to the overall deployment of the Ministry of Commerce and other relevant government departments, complete entrusted and authorized tasks; hold national laundry industry association joint meetings and other research and exchange activities.
        6. Successfully hold large-scale exhibitions and negotiate the integration of industry resources
1. Closely cooperate with local laundry industry associations and key enterprises, continue to strive to successfully hold the 15th China International Laundry Industry Exhibition and related activities planned for September 2014 in Shanghai, achieving new improvements in the scale and content of the exhibition.
2. Control the frequency of directly organizing large-scale conference exchange activities. Explore more effective methods and models of cooperation with excellent enterprises and local associations to hold quality technical exchange activities.
        7. Improve the information platform to enhance the timeliness and coverage of information
1. Further improve the publication quality of the bimonthly journal "China Laundry" and improve the responsibility system to achieve the goal of self-sustaining publication.
2. Fully utilize the role of the WeChat information platform. Manage and make good use of fast online information channels such as Weibo, WeChat, QQ groups, Fetion, and Baidu, making great efforts to increase coverage, provide timely and efficient information services for the industry, popularize correct laundry knowledge to consumers, and thereby improve public awareness of the laundry and dyeing industry.
3. Grasp the development trend of online information, and build the "China Laundry" and "China Leather Care" websites into platforms for information, technical exchange, advertising, and industry data and resource sharing in the laundry and dyeing industry. Further optimize column settings, increase the amount of information, accelerate the frequency of information updates, and strengthen link interactions with various high-quality websites.
      VIII. Adhere to the basic concept of service-oriented and strengthen association construction
1. Fully utilize the opportunity of national policy adjustments on the approval of social organizations, continue the unremitting efforts to apply for the "China Laundry and Dyeing Association," and after approval, organize the China Laundry and Dyeing Association based on the current laundry and dyeing committee framework.
2. Improve the internal working mechanism of the laundry and dyeing committee, especially to make the leather care professional office and the public textile care office truly operational and carry out targeted work. Further improve the expert committee's working mechanism and fully leverage the role of the expert team.
3. Based on a careful summary of the 2013 laundry and dyeing quality appraisal work experience, further improve the appraisal workflow, and explore the establishment of a laundry and dyeing accident early warning mechanism and release platform.
4. Do a good job in member services and management, attract more outstanding enterprises and local association organizations to join the China Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee, and further expand the coverage of member units.
5. Improve the business capabilities and professional level of the secretariat staff. Strictly enforce office order and office systems, and strive to build the laundry and dyeing committee secretariat into an efficient and professional team suitable for the development of the laundry and dyeing industry association.
