Notice on Holding the National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition

To the laundry and dyeing industry authorities of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, local laundry and dyeing industry associations, all laundry and related enterprises, and all member units:
To cooperate with the Ministry of Commerce's nationwide "Quality Service" campaign, improve the service level of China's laundry and dyeing industry, promote the construction of employee quality projects, and showcase the style of laundry and dyeing industry workers, the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee and the National Laundry and Dyeing Standardization Technical Committee have decided to hold the "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition." This competition is part of the "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Quality Service Campaign" and serves as a test to promote industry standards and improve laundry and dyeing levels. The specific arrangements for the competition are as follows:

National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition
2. Organization and Leadership
Establish the National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition Organizing Committee"), with Wang Shuyuan as the Chairperson, and Pan Wei and Wang Houzeng as Deputy Chairpersons.
The Competition Organizing Committee has a secretariat responsible for the specific work of the competition. Wang Houzeng serves as Secretary-General, with Ren Fengmei and Feng Jinna as Deputy Secretaries-General.
3. Specific Content of the Competition
This competition uses an on-site Q&A format, covering laundry and dyeing industry standards and technical knowledge. The questions are selected from industry standards and guidelines including "Leather and Fur Garment Laundry and Dyeing Specifications," "Laundry Industry Service Quality Requirements," "Laundry Industry Service Operation Specifications," "Laundry Industry Management Measures," "Ministry of Commerce's Guidance on Further Developing the Laundry Industry During the 12th Five-Year Plan," and the "National Vocational Skill Appraisal Examination Guide for Laundry Workers" textbook.
To facilitate targeted review for participants, the Competition Organizing Committee will publish the "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition Review Guide" on China Laundry Network ( www.chinalaundry.cn ) for participants to download and study.
4. Competition Time and Location
(1) Preliminary rounds in each sub-division: to be completed before August 30, 2012
(2) Pre-competition training time: September 23, 2012

(3) Finals time: September 24, 2012
Location: Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center (No. 66 Caobao Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai)
(4) Award ceremony: September 24, 2012

5. Participant Eligibility
Those who have worked in the laundry and dyeing industry for more than two years are eligible to register for the competition.
6. Registration Method
(1) Participants must submit the completed "Competition Receipt" ( Click to download ) and the participant's "Competition Registration Form" ( Click to download ), a copy of their ID card, a copy of their national vocational qualification certificate, and a participation fee of 300 yuan per person (including competition review guide and pre-competition training fees) by express mail to the Competition Organizing Committee Secretariat before September 7, 2012.
(2) The Competition Organizing Committee will make specific arrangements for the finals based on the registration situation and then notify all registered units and participants of the final details.
(3) After registration approval, participants must attend the pre-competition training held on September 23, 2012, at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center on time.

8. Awards
(1) Participants who win 1st to 3rd place will be awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes (1st place 2000 yuan, 2nd place 1000 yuan, 3rd place 800 yuan)
(2) Contestants who rank in the top 10 of the competition will be awarded the honorary title of "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Technical Expert."
(3) Relevant units of provinces, regions, and cities that have outstanding achievements in organizing regional competitions will be awarded the "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Knowledge Competition Excellent Organization Award" by the organizing committee, and an honorary certificate will be issued.
9. Referee Team
The refereeing team for this competition will be composed of referees from the National Vocational Skills Competition.
10. Pre-competition Instructions
To ensure the competition proceeds smoothly in an open, fair, and just environment, achieving both excellent results and mutual learning to improve skills through the competition, the organizing committee will provide explanations about the competition content to the contestants before the finals.
11. Accommodation and Meals Arrangement
(1) Contestants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, and meals.
(2) The organizing committee can assist in arranging accommodation (accommodation cost is 280 yuan per room per day). Those who need assistance should fill out the reply form and fax it to the organizing committee.
12. Display and Promotion
The organizing committee will make full use of newspapers, the internet, and other media to carefully promote the competition and actively expand the coverage of publicity.
(1) The organizing committee welcomes enterprises and units to sponsor and support the competition in various forms, such as prizes, gifts, and competition materials for contestants, and will provide a promotional platform for supporting units as well as issue honorary certificates.
(2) Relevant units may place promotional boards and hang banners at the competition venue and award ceremony. Specific arrangements can be coordinated with the organizing committee secretariat.
