Price Information Report for the Laundry and Dyeing Industry Released

With the rapid development of the market economy, consumers are increasingly concerned about the price changes of goods and services related to daily life. To provide consumers, operators, and relevant national departments with timely and effective industry consulting services, the China Commercial Federation Laundry Professional Committee began a price information survey of the laundry industry in December 2010, and the survey work has recently been completed.
This survey collected price information from laundry service and detergent sales enterprises in more than 20 provinces and cities in China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Hainan, and Ningxia. After compiling statistics on the most commonly consumed service items by residents and the prices of detergents necessary for the daily operation of laundry enterprises, the survey ultimately formed price information on laundry services for some regions' daily clothing and public textiles, as well as sales price information for detergent products. This is the first nationwide price information survey of the laundry industry and will be gradually enriched and improved in the future.
The prices of three categories of laundry services and product sales are now being published.
1. Price Information for Laundry Services of Daily Clothing
The prices for daily clothing refer to the washing prices of residents' clothing and daily necessities at laundries. This announcement includes prices from six provinces and cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shaanxi, and Sichuan, as well as the national average price. The prices are the regular listed prices at laundry storefronts and do not include discounted prices or prices for premium cleaning, preservation washing, and other services.
