Specific arrangements for the National Laundry and Dyeing Skills Competition in August 2010

According to the spirit of the "Notice on Holding the First National Commercial Service Industry Skills Competition - Laundry and Dyeing Professional Skills Competition" issued by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce (Laundry Committee [2010] No. 08), and based on the competition projects and the actual situation at the competition site, the following specific arrangements are made for the "First National Commercial Service Industry Skills Competition - Laundry and Dyeing Professional Skills Competition":
1. Competition Projects and Specific Content
This competition includes three projects: Front Desk Service Knowledge Competition, Leather Bag Care Skills Competition, and Leather Shoe Care Skills Competition.
(1) Front Desk Service Knowledge Competition
1. On-site knowledge Q&A to assess relevant knowledge of front desk service. (The questions are selected from the "National Vocational Skill Appraisal Examination Guide for Laundry Workers (Intermediate Level)", including multiple-choice questions, true/false questions, and extended review questions from the question bank in the book.)
2. The competition organizing committee will provide answer boards, pens, and other stationery.
(2) Leather Bag Care Skills Competition
1. Practical operation limited to 40 minutes, cleaning and caring for leather and fabric combined leather bags.
2. The competition organizing committee will provide leather bags, detergents, leather care materials, spray guns, bristle brushes, etc. Contestants may bring their own leather care materials (but must register in advance and obtain approval from the competition organizing committee before use).
(3) Leather Shoe Care Skills Competition
1. Practical operation of caring for sports shoes limited to 40 minutes (excluding drying time).
2. The competition organizing committee will provide sports shoes, detergents, leather care materials, bristle brushes, spin dryers, dryers, etc. Contestants may bring their own leather care materials (but must register in advance and obtain approval from the competition organizing committee before use).
2. Competition Procedures
(1) The competition organizing committee authorizes relevant local associations (or national chain enterprises) to organize selection competitions in each sub-division. Contestants who rank in the top six in each sub-division selection competition may register to participate in the national finals.
(2) The specific competition organization and implementation methods for each sub-division shall be formulated by the organizers based on the national finals plan and local conditions, and implemented after approval by the competition organizing committee.
(3) The competition organizing committee will negotiate specific matters regarding competition arrangements and cooperation methods with the organizations applying to host the selection competitions.
3. Competition Time and Location 
4. Awards
(1) Contestants who achieve first to third place in the national finals of each competition project will be awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes (1st place 1000 yuan, 2nd place 800 yuan, 3rd place 500 yuan).
(2) Contestants who achieve fourth to tenth place in the national finals of each competition project will receive one ticket to the Shanghai World Expo.
(3) Contestants who rank in the top 10 in the national finals of each competition project will be awarded the title of "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Technical Expert", along with medals and honorary certificates.
(4) Relevant units in provinces, regions, and cities that perform outstandingly in regional competition organization work will be awarded the "Outstanding Organization Award of the First National Commercial Service Industry Skills Competition" by the competition organizing committee, along with medals and honorary certificates.
5. Pre-Competition Guidance
To ensure the competition proceeds smoothly in an open, fair, and just environment, achieving both good results and mutual learning to improve skills, the competition organizing committee will provide explanations to contestants regarding the competition content before the finals.
6. Referee Team
This competition will be judged by a referee team composed of national vocational skill competition referees.
7. Technical Review
To strengthen the selection and training of skilled talents and promote technical exchanges among high-skilled personnel, the competition organizing committee will conduct technical reviews after each individual competition in the finals. Experts and referees who participated in question setting will be invited to analyze the knowledge Q&A, practical operations, overall technical conditions, and development trends. Through these reviews, technical exchanges and skill improvements will be facilitated, helping participants understand industry development directions and providing guidance and inspiration, thereby promoting continuous improvement of technical levels in the laundry and dyeing industry.
8. Contestant Eligibility and Registration Methods
(1) All practitioners engaged in laundry and dyeing professions who have intermediate worker (national vocational qualification level 4) or above qualifications, or have worked in this profession for more than two years, may register to participate in the corresponding competition projects.
(2) Contestants shall be uniformly registered by each sub-division. Each sub-division must submit the completed "Contest Participation Receipt" and contestant registration materials for the national finals by July 15, 2010. The materials to be submitted by contestants are as follows:
1. Competition registration form (electronic form can be downloaded from China Laundry Network " Download Center "
2. One copy of ID card
3. Copy of national vocational qualification certificate
4. Two personal bareheaded two-inch color photos
5. Competition registration fee of 300 yuan per person
(3) The competition organizing committee will make specific arrangements for the finals based on the registration situation, and then notify all registered participating units and contestants of the finals details.
(4) After contestant registration is approved, contestants must attend the pre-competition guidance on August 25, 2010, at the Shanghai World Trade Mall Exhibition Hall on time.
9. Lectures
After the competition, contestants may attend the "National Laundry Technology and Management Lecture Demonstration" held on August 27, 2010, free of charge. The meeting will use forms such as situational performances, expert theoretical explanations, case analyses, and practical demonstrations to provide the most direct and practical laundry and dyeing techniques and accident handling skills, aiming to improve the professional skills of attendees. 10. Accommodation and Meals Arrangements
(1) Contestants are responsible for their own transportation, meals, and accommodation.
(2) The competition organizing committee can assist with accommodation arrangements. Those who need assistance should fill out the receipt and fax it to the organizing committee.
