A few years ago at the Shanghai International Film Festival, the French director Jacques Perrin's documentary blockbuster "Winged Migration" became a highlight. It is well known that migratory birds are very disciplined creatures. The flocks of geese flying in the sky maintain a very tight formation during their long journeys. Their formations are either in a straight line or a V-shape, constantly making "ya, ya" calls as they fly, following the lead goose along the prescribed migration route. If a goose tries to deviate from the set flight path, breaks discipline, and goes alone, it may fall behind, lose direction, or encounter danger. Mencius once said: "Without rules, nothing can be accomplished." He believed that everything needs to follow certain standards and laws. This saying reflects the ancients' basic understanding of the role of standards and norms, and it remains a commonly used proverb in real life, constantly reminding people of the importance of standards.
All industries also have their own rules and standards. With these "rules," various industries can have "order and boundaries," and everything can proceed in an orderly manner. On the sports field, long-distance runners must start only after hearing the starting gun; constructing skyscrapers requires certain regulations to ensure they rise steadily from the ground; the bustling traffic and crowds can only be safe, smooth, orderly, and civilized if everyone strictly follows traffic rules and "keeps to their lanes."
The healthy and orderly development of the laundry and dyeing industry also requires unified standards. As laundry workers, it is our unshirkable responsibility and duty to implement standards and norms in practice. This not only benefits the healthy development of the laundry and dyeing industry but also promotes the growth of enterprises and the success of individual careers. In recent years, with the improvement of living standards, the laundry and dyeing industry has rapidly risen among traditional service industries, playing an increasingly important role in improving people's quality of life, expanding consumption, serving industries, and absorbing employment. However, the industry also faces some urgent problems to be solved, such as an incomplete industry standard system and a low level of service standardization, which have become increasingly prominent. The overall development level of the industry needs further improvement.
Following the introduction of a series of national, industry, association, and local standards covering professions, technology, services, environmental protection, and operations, thanks to the efforts of the Laundry and Dyeing Committee, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China officially implemented two domestic trade industry standards on December 1, 2011: "Laundry and Dyeing Service Operation Specifications" and "Laundry and Dyeing Service Quality Requirements."
"Laundry and Dyeing Service Operation Specifications" apply to various laundry and dyeing enterprises engaged in business activities, stipulating the norms and requirements to be followed in aspects such as business opening conditions, operation management, service reception, processing production, quality responsibility, and compensation principles. "Laundry and Dyeing Service Quality Requirements" apply to various laundry and dyeing enterprises engaged in business activities, specifying the requirements for business services and the quality of clothing washing and dyeing processing.
The promulgation and implementation of these two standards will have an important impact on the development of the laundry and dyeing industry. They help regulate the business conduct and market order of the national laundry and dyeing industry, fairly, justly, reasonably, and promptly resolve consumer disputes in the laundry and dyeing industry, protect the legitimate rights and interests of operators and consumers, promote the healthy and orderly development of the laundry and dyeing industry, and lead the industry into another springtime!
