1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements that leather and fur garments must meet after washing and dyeing.
This standard applies to clothing and accessory products processed mainly from leather, fur, and sheepskin.
This standard also applies to household items, automotive decorative products, luggage, etc., processed mainly from leather, fur, and sheepskin.
2 Product Classification
2.1 Classification by Main Material of Product
— Leather category;
— Fur category;
— Mixed category of leather, fur, sheepskin, and other materials.
2.2 Classification by Product Use
— Clothing and accessories: clothing, shawls, scarves, hats, gloves, belts, ornaments, etc.;
— Household items: sofa covers, seat (back) cushions, leather shapes, bedspreads, tapestries, carpets, foot mats, etc.;
— Automotive decorative products: car seat covers, backrests, seat (back) cushions, headrests (neck pillows), etc.;
— Luggage category.
3 Risk Disclosure
3.1 Before accepting items for washing and dyeing, operators should clearly inform consumers of the unavoidable risks that may occur during the washing and dyeing process of leather, fur, and sheepskin products, as well as possible damage to the products. After explanation, both parties reach an agreement, confirmed by the consumer, that the issues explained are not considered washing and dyeing quality problems. Operators should provide necessary repairs according to their commitments to consumers.
