Laundry Enterprise Grading Standards
DB12/T 108-1999
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the quality of laundry clothing and the required business service premises, equipment facilities, technical level, and service specifications that special grade, first grade, and second grade laundry shops should meet.
This standard applies to the grading evaluation of laundry business enterprises of various economic components within the administrative region of Tianjin.

The provisions contained in the following standards are incorporated into this standard by reference. The versions shown are valid at the time of publication of this standard. All standards are subject to revision, and users of this standard should consider the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards.

3 Basic Requirements for Laundry Shops
3.1 Laundry shops must comply with the provisions of SB/T10271-1996 when opening.
3.2 Laundry shop service quality requirements must comply with DB12/T109-1999.
4 Special Grade Shop Requirements
4.1 Shop Premises and Equipment Facilities
4.1.1 The shop windows inside and outside the shop are spacious and bright, with transparent space and layout levels featuring distinct business characteristics.
Price lists, grade certificates, and business licenses are hung in prominent positions in the shop; the display is neat and luxurious, decoration is beautiful and elegant, the text on the shop signboards is standardized, neat, and eye-catching. The business room is equipped with wardrobes and counters corresponding to the grade, capable of hanging main material clothing. The main business scope includes laundry, ironing, dyeing, mending, as well as cleaning and coloring of leather or fur clothing. The total area is not less than 500 square meters , and the business area is not less than 50 square meters 。
4.1.2 Professional equipment: Equipped with production equipment suitable for the grade, including dry cleaning, water washing, dehydration, drying, ironing, dyeing, mending, and cleaning, polishing, and coloring of leather or fur clothing. The processing and production premises are solid, practical, and well-lit, with floors and walls that are easy to clean and do not peel off.
4.1.3 Facility aspects: Equipped with safety protection facilities such as fire prevention, electrical safety, pollution prevention, and alarms. Ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and water supply and drainage systems are sensitive and effective, with regular maintenance. The discharge of sewage (including organic solvents used in dry cleaning) and exhaust gas must comply with GB4287, GB8978, and relevant national regulations.
4.2 Technical Personnel Requirements
4.2.1 Each trade and process must have a special grade master with certification to lead daily technical work. First-grade masters account for no less than 30% of all technicians, and second-grade masters no less than 40% of all technicians;
4.2.2 Senior technical personnel are responsible for promoting new technologies and supervising and inspecting service quality and laundry quality, in accordance with DB12/T 109 "Laundry Industry Service Quality Standard."
4.3 Service Specifications
4.3.1 Specifications: Establish and improve management systems, quality standards, and service specifications. Employees are polite and enthusiastic, execute standards accurately and without error.
4.3.2 Language: Service personnel speak Mandarin, use polite language, and service staff in key positions can provide services in foreign languages. The tone is kind, friendly, enthusiastic, and polite.
4.3.3 Appearance and Behavior: Energetic, dignified manners, neat dress, wearing badges, acting as customer consultants.
4.4 Packaging Requirements: Packaging bags with prominent store characteristics and logos.
4.5 Delivery Time Limit: Laundry items should be completed within 3 days, single ironing within 2 days.
5 First Grade Shop Requirements
5.1 Shop Premises and Equipment Facilities
5.1.1 The shop entrance decoration is beautiful and luxurious, windows are spacious and bright, layout is elegant and artistic, with clear and refined signage.
Price lists, grade certificates, and business licenses are hung in prominent positions in the shop; decoration is beautiful and elegant, the text on the shop signboards is standardized, neat, and eye-catching. The business room is tidy and fully equipped, with neatly displayed clothing. The business variety is complete, including washing, ironing, dyeing, mending, and cleaning and coloring of wool, woolen, silk, velvet, cotton, and other materials. The total area is not less than 300 square meters , and the business room area is not less than 40 square meters 。
5.1.2 Professional equipment: Has its own dedicated workshop, solid building structure, sufficient lighting, clean floors and walls. Equipment is advanced, including dry cleaning machines, washing machines, spin dryers, dryers, electric irons, etc.
5.1.3 Facility aspects: Equipped with safety protection facilities. Ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and water supply and drainage systems are sensitive and effective, with regular maintenance. The discharge of sewage and exhaust gas must comply with GB4287, GB8978, and relevant national regulations.
5.2 Technical Personnel Requirements
5.2.1 Each trade and process must have a first-grade master with certification to lead daily technical work. Second-grade masters account for no less than 30% of all technicians, and third-grade masters no less than 40% of all technicians;
5.2.2 A first-grade master is responsible for promoting new technologies and supervising and inspecting service quality and laundry quality, in accordance with DB12/T 109 "Laundry Industry Service Quality Standard."
5.3 Service Specifications
5.3.1 Specifications: There are service specifications and management systems, employees provide polite service and can correctly implement the standards.
5.3.2 Language: Sales staff speak Mandarin and use polite language.
5.3.3 Appearance and Behavior: Dress neatly, with novel styles, uniform and tidy clothing, wearing badges, behaving politely, full of spirit, and introducing service items and charging standards according to customer requirements.
5.4 Packaging Requirements: Packaging bags must prominently feature the store's characteristics and logo.
5.5 Delivery Time Limit: Washing should not exceed 4 days, single ironing should not exceed 2 days.
6 Secondary Store Requirements
6.1 Storefront and Equipment Facilities
6.1.1 The storefront decoration is attractive, the display windows are clean and bright, with clear signage.
Price lists, grade certificates, and business licenses are hung in prominent positions in the store; the layout is tidy, and clothing displayed on counters and shelves is neat. A complete range of products is offered, including washing, ironing, and dyeing services for various styles of garments made from wool, woolen, silk, velvet, cotton, and other materials.
6.1.2 Professional Equipment: Equipped with small dry cleaning machines, washing machines, spin dryers, dryers, or directly connected to washing and dyeing factories or companies.
6.1.3 Facility Aspects: Equipped with safety protection facilities. Ventilation, heating, water supply and drainage are sensitive and effective, with regular maintenance.
6.2 Technical Staff Requirements
6.2.1 Each trade and process must have a secondary-level technician with certification to oversee daily technical work. Tertiary-level technicians must account for no less than 30% of all technicians, and quaternary-level technicians no less than 40%.
6.2.2 Professional technical personnel are engaged in supervising and inspecting laundry quality, complying with DB12/T 109 "Laundry Service Quality Standards."
6.3 Service Standards
There are service standards and management systems. Sales staff speak Mandarin and use polite language. They dress neatly, wear badges, behave politely, are full of spirit, and introduce service items and charging standards according to customer requirements.
6.4 Packaging Requirements: Packaging bags are provided.
6.5 Delivery Time Limit: Washing should not exceed 5 days, single ironing should not exceed 3 days.
