The Guangdong Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association was established in 2005. It is a social organization voluntarily formed by various enterprises and institutions within Guangdong Province engaged in laundry services, equipment, raw materials, packaging and auxiliary materials, hotel laundry departments, etc., registered with the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. The registration management unit is the Guangdong Provincial Civil Organization Administration Bureau.
The association is committed to assisting the government in regulating the laundry and dyeing industry, providing services to promote the healthy development of the laundry and dyeing industry in Guangdong Province, protect the legitimate business interests of its members, and safeguard the legal rights and interests of consumers.
Since its establishment, the association has focused on establishing rules and regulations, standardizing the industry, and serving its members. Under the leadership of the first and second councils chaired by Mr. Lu Zhiji, the association has formulated two local standards through the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision: "Commercial Laundry Service Quality Standards" and "Classification and Grading Requirements for Laundry Enterprises." It has also formulated the "Guangdong Province Laundry Industry Consumer Dispute Resolution Measures" through the Guangdong Provincial Consumer Council, and the "Guangdong Province Laundry Service Contract Model Text" through the Guangdong Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce. Additionally, it has carried out a series of activities such as star rating evaluations for laundry enterprises in Guangdong Province.
According to the association's "Articles of Association" which stipulate that each council's term shall not exceed three years, the association held its second re-election in December 2011, electing the third council leadership team with Mr. Liao Zhiwen as president. At the first meeting of the new council, all attending members unanimously approved the appointment of Mr. Lu Zhiji as the honorary founding president of the association.
The new leadership team of the Guangdong Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association sincerely provides services to all members, consumers, and all sectors of society!
