Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association is an independent legal entity approved by the commerce department and registered with the civil affairs department, officially established on September 5, 2005.

The leadership core of Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association consists of the president, executive vice president (director of the competent department), vice presidents, and 15 secretaries general; the council is composed of the leadership core, 33 executive directors, and 67 directors. The office is the secretariat: 1 full-time secretary general; 5 full-time (or part-time) clerks, 1 driver, managing the daily work of the association.
Specially appointed honorary presidents include retired senior cadre Li Chunfang, former executive vice mayor of Changchun City Government, and Wang Shuyun, current deputy director in charge of Changchun City Commerce Bureau.

After years of cultivation and improvement, Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association has basically formed a stable working mechanism:
First, establish county-level branches. Branches of the city laundry and dyeing association are set up in counties (cities) under the city's jurisdiction. The branch president is concurrently the vice president of the city laundry and dyeing association in the area, and the vice branch president and main members are reviewed by the city association and submitted to local commerce and civil affairs departments for examination and filing. The office is located at the branch president's or vice branch president's unit, ensuring the extension of the city association's work to the laundry and dyeing industry terminals.
Second, establish expert organizations. After assessment and selection, the city laundry and dyeing association has formed an expert organization of 9 members led by the president. These experts specialize in garment washing, fabric dyeing, leather care, mink wool dyeing and modification, solvent use, payment inspection, and equipment maintenance, and are certified by the city quality supervision bureau as an expert organization in the laundry and dyeing industry.
Third, establish training institutions. Relying on the "Gewang Training Base," the city laundry and dyeing association established the Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Training School, which was officially authorized as the "Gewang Laundry and Dyeing Training Center" by the China Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee in May 2010. Personnel recruitment, level assessment, and certificate applications are all managed by dedicated staff of the city association.
Fourth, establish centralized specialties. In the urban and rural laundry and dyeing industry of the city, the association centers on key enterprises and has established eight major centralized specialties: Gewang's leather care specialty, Funait washing specialty, Tiancai dyeing specialty, Zhao Jie mink wool dyeing and modification specialty, Yiersa weaving and mending specialty, Youyang washing specialty, Gewang chemical wholesale and equipment distribution specialty, enabling overall joint operation and interactive win-win among laundry and dyeing shops and factories in the city.
Fifth, improve association functions. According to the spirit of documents from the State Council and Jilin Provincial Government, with the support of competent departments, the Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Association has actively strived to improve functions such as "quality service dispute arbitration," "environmental protection pre-verification," "urban law enforcement inspection," and various miscellaneous fee allocations, ensuring the association's role in organizing and serving members. Meanwhile, the association has published and committed to the "Ten Practical Measures to Protect Members' Interests," effectively enhancing the cohesion and affinity of the organization.

Thanks to the attention and support from local government departments and the care and guidance from the China Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee, Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Association has always focused on the theme of "industry norms," the main line of "quality improvement," and the leading role of "business expansion and efficiency enhancement," using scientific and innovative development methods to facilitate and protect members, promote industry structure optimization, fully shape the image of the laundry and dyeing industry, and strive to create a well-known laundry and dyeing city.
1. Large-scale and strong leading enterprises are concentrated in Changchun City; the association is increasing support for potential independent brand shops and factories, which are growing year by year, firmly implementing the industry norms and development strategy of "leading the frontline with leaders and leading the region with backbones."
2. Laundry and dyeing shops and factories in Changchun City account for over 54% of the laundry and dyeing outlets in Jilin Province, and some outlets have extended to towns and larger villages where laundry services are also available.
3. Support expansion and promote centralized specialties. Because the city association focuses on guiding the industry towards scale and specialization, backbone enterprises have increased year by year, ensuring enhanced risk resistance and reduced disorderly competition.
4. Help cultivate advantageous brands and expand the influence of independent brands. In recent years, the city association has supported, improved, and promoted 15 self-created independent brands such as Gewang, Tiancai, Youyang, Zhao Jie, and Yibense through multiple channels and fields to influence and drive industry trends and development.
5. Carry out various activities to promote business efficiency. The city association has organized "mutual visits and exchanges," "technical forums," "excellence competitions," and entertainment gatherings among enterprises, fostering a harmonious and mutually supportive atmosphere. The association also feels that "various beneficial activities make a big difference whether held or not."
Of course, the Changchun City Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association is still in a young and immature state, and learning from the practices and experiences of peer cities is our first choice towards maturity.
