Since the announcement of the twelfth batch of new occupations led by "Leather Care Worker" on November 12, 2009, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has paid close attention to the formulation of the standards for these 8 new occupations. The formulation of the occupational standard for "Leather Care Worker," which tops the list of new occupations, has been prioritized and is imminent. Therefore, on January 20, 2010, leaders from the Occupational Appraisal Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with leaders from the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, visited well-known enterprises in the leather care industry—Rongchang Ilsa Group and the headquarters of Beijing Hanhwang Weiye Group—for in-depth research and inspection. They widely solicited opinions and suggestions from all sectors of society and industry authorities to strive for the early release of the occupational standard for Leather Care Workers.
On the morning of the same day, Director Zhen Lei and his team from the Occupational Appraisal Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, along with Director Wang Shuyuan, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary-General Pan Wei, and Executive Deputy Director Wang Houzeng from the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, first visited Rongchang Ilsa Group located in Beijing 798 Art District for inspection and research. Chairman Zhang Rongyao introduced the development of Rongchang and accompanied the group to tour the laundry park. Afterwards, the leaders drove to the headquarters of Beijing Hanhwang Group for further research and inspection. At the symposium, General Manager Xin Yubo of Beijing Hanhwang Group gave a detailed introduction to the company's development history and current status, looked forward to the development prospects of the leather care industry, and offered valuable suggestions on many areas including the formulation of occupational standards for the leather care industry, job development, professional management norms, industry expansion, training materials, and the formulation and review of the national question bank. Director Wang and Director Chen fully recognized and highly praised the outstanding creative contributions made by Hanhwang to the leather care industry and expressed great expectations for Hanhwang Group. Subsequently, everyone shared their views and contributed ideas for the formulation of occupational standards for the leather care industry.
After the meeting, Director Wang, Director Chen, and their team, accompanied by General Manager Xin, General Manager Yu, and other company leaders, visited and researched Hanhwang Academy, which integrates leather beauty care technology research and development with teaching and training. They successively visited the academy's teaching areas for leather chemical beauty modification, shoe repair technology, large leather products demonstration areas such as sofas and car seats, leather maintenance technology training and operation areas, and special shoe cleaning and maintenance demonstration areas. During the research process, the leaders inquired in detail about leather beauty care and personally experienced Hanhwang's uniquely exquisite shoe polishing service.
