The National Occupational Skill Standard Review Meeting for Leather Care Workers was held in Beijing

On July 12 and 13, 2010, the review meeting for the "National Occupational Skill Standard for Leather Care Workers" organized by the Occupational Skill Appraisal Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security was grandly held at the Yuanshan Hotel in Beijing. This review meeting invited many experts from the laundry and dyeing industry, leather care research, standard formulation, and occupational skill appraisal fields, including experts from the Laundry and Dyeing Industry of the China General Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting was hosted by a dedicated person from the Standards Department of the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, with assistance from the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce. At the meeting, experts made revisions and improvements to multiple aspects such as the occupational functions, work content, skill requirements, and operability of the laundry and dyeing industry based on the preliminary draft of the "National Occupational Skill Standard for Leather Care Workers."
The National Occupational Skill Standard for Leather Care Workers was proposed and initiated by the Laundry Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce and organized for drafting. The development work took half a year. After careful research, drafting, discussion, and multiple revisions and verifications by experts, the final framework and content were basically completed and passed the preliminary review in June this year. It is reported that after this review meeting, the standard will be submitted to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China for approval and will be officially promulgated and implemented nationwide.
