★The inaugural "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" was successfully held on the eve of the 60th National Day anniversary
Hosted by the China Commercial Federation and organized by our association, the inaugural "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" was successfully held in Beijing from September 7 to 11. The first "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" covered three main themed events: the "2009 (10th) China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition", the "2009 International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference", and the "6th National Laundry and Dyeing Vocational Skills Competition".
9 September 9 The "10th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition" held at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center from the 9th to the 11th featured participants from 12 countries and regions including domestic China, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. 150 Several well-known brands participated, with an exhibition area exceeding 6,000 square meters and nearly 200 booths. The exhibition and forum activities attracted nearly 7,000 visitors from 28 provinces (cities, districts) in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, as well as countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Among them, domestic visitors (including those from Hong Kong and Taiwan) reached over 6,500, and foreign visitors numbered nearly 400.
9 September 7 to 10, the "International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference" was held at the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, with the theme of "Exchange, Cooperation, Win-Win, Development" as its purpose. Through enhancing dialogue, exchange, and cooperation, it further consolidated and deepened the connections among laundry and dyeing industries of various countries, providing a platform for increasing mutual benefit exchange and sharing. The conference hosted nearly 60 guests from countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, Romania, Japan, and South Korea, as well as about 60 domestic representatives including guests from Taiwan and Hong Kong. More than a dozen domestic and international expert representatives delivered wonderful speeches. The conference also reached a consensus on cooperation and development between Chinese and foreign laundry and dyeing industries, established a common mission and development and implementation plan, and on this basis issued the conference's guiding document, the "Beijing Declaration."
9 September 9 The "6th National Laundry and Dyeing Vocational Skills Competition" held at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center until the 11th included five skill competition projects: "Front Desk Garment Collection", "Stain Removal", "Clothing Ironing", "Garment Mending", and "Leather Care", respectively sponsored and named by Tianjin Chaoli Laundry Co., Ltd., Shanghai Elephant King Laundry Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Sanyo Dry Cleaning Co., Ltd., Shanghai Green Ring Laundry and Dyeing Co., Ltd., and Beijing Jiebao Italian Leather Chemical Materials Specialty Store; A total of 139 contestants from 19 representative teams from various provinces, regions, and large enterprises participated in the national finals. Fifteen contestants won first, second, and third places in various individual competitions. Seven units including Beijing Laundry Industry Association, Shanghai Laundry Industry Association, Tianjin Laundry Industry Association, Dalian Laundry Industry Association, Qingdao Laundry Industry Association, Beijing Funait Laundry Service Co., Ltd., and Kangjie Laundry received the "Excellent Organization Award" for this competition. "Excellent Organization Award" 。
During the Laundry and Dyeing Festival, An Huimin, full-time vice president of the China Commercial Federation, Luo Qin, secretary-general of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, MR. CHRIS TEBBS, executive director of the International Dry Cleaning Association, and Igarashi, chairman of the Japan Laundry and Dyeing Association, were invited to attend.
To commend senior experts who have made important contributions to the development of China's laundry and dyeing industry, recommended by various local laundry and dyeing industry associations nationwide, the China Commercial Federation specially awarded 10 experts the honorary title of "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Meritorious Figures" at the Laundry and Dyeing Festival, and for the inaugural "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" specially produced and issued commemorative stamps and first day covers.
★ Leaders of the China Commercial Federation attach great importance to the "Laundry and Dyeing Festival" and issued important instructions
After the inaugural "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" ended, the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee held a special summary meeting, and afterwards submitted the summary report to the leaders of the China Commercial Federation for review. On October 30, several leaders of the Chamber of Commerce including Zhang Shuping, executive vice president of the China Commercial Federation, Vice President Jiang Ming, and Executive Deputy Secretary-General Ying Zhizeng made important instructions on the Laundry and Dyeing Committee's summary report.
The leaders of the Chamber of Commerce pointed out in their instructions: The successful holding of the "Laundry and Dyeing Festival" shows that the Laundry and Dyeing Committee has effectively implemented the five major development strategies of brand, standardization, unity, talent, and internationalization. The summarized experience should be referenced by various departments and professional committees of the Chamber of Commerce. In the process of creating a brand, the Laundry and Dyeing Committee attaches great importance to the role of the unity strategy, combining self-reliance closely with external cooperation, taking the path of uniting to accomplish major tasks; steadily promoting standardized development, serving member units, and building a platform for laundry and dyeing enterprises to develop and showcase talents and strength both domestically and internationally; under this year's special conditions of strengthened security, costs increased, but overcoming various difficulties, the success of the inaugural "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" should be commended; it is suggested that the "report" be published with comments in "Chamber of Commerce News" and forwarded to relevant commercial service units nationwide.
★ The 2009 Annual Director Meeting of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee will be held in December in Qingdao
★ National Vocational Skills Appraiser Training Course for the Laundry and Dyeing Industry will be held in December in Qingdao
To further promote the national vocational qualification certificate, standardize vocational skills appraisal management, ensure the quality of vocational skills appraisal, strengthen the construction of the vocational skills appraisal team, and improve the policy and business level of vocational skills appraisers, the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, entrusted by the Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, will hold the "National Vocational Skills Appraiser Training Course for the Laundry and Dyeing Industry" in Qingdao from December 1 to 3.
★China Laundry Network is about to "relaunch"
The new version of China Laundry ( www.chinalaundry.cn ) website will be launched by the end of this year. Included in the national plan and invested by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the "China Laundry" website, implemented by the China Chamber of Commerce Laundry Professional Committee, is accelerating its construction and design work. The related hardware facilities are basically in place, and the website design and development have taken shape. The revamped "China Laundry" website will be the most authoritative large-scale comprehensive website in the national laundry industry, integrating news, information, communication, training, advertising, and more, becoming a powerful engine to promote the informatization and networking of China's laundry industry.
