★The First "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" Grand Roadshow
The 10th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition Exhibition and investment promotion progressing smoothly. The exhibition and investment promotion work for the 2009 (10th) China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition is progressing smoothly. This exhibition covers an area of over 5,000 square meters, with nearly 100 well-known brands from 11 countries and regions including China, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain participating. Currently, there are nearly 200 booths in total, a significant increase compared to the previous exhibition.
Since the buyer organization work for the exhibition started in early June, inquiries and pre-registrations have been received from industry professionals across provinces and cities nationwide, especially from North China, Northeast China, and East China. Everyone has shown great interest in the exhibition and concurrent events such as the "2009 International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference (Beijing)" and the "6th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition." It is expected that the number of pre-registered professional visitors will exceed 3,000 before the exhibition opens.
The 6th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition is gearing up. The 6th "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition," hosted by the China General Chamber of Commerce and the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center, and organized by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, is nearing completion of preparations and will be grandly held on September 9, 2009, at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing.
This competition includes five events: the "Chaoli Cup" Front Desk Garment Receiving Skills Competition, the "Xiangwang Cup" Stain Removal Skills Competition, the "Sanyo Cup" Garment Ironing Skills Competition, the "Jiyi Bei Cup" Garment Mending Skills Competition, and the "Jiebao Cup" Leather Care Skills Competition. The competition mainly focuses on practical operation, supplemented by a theoretical knowledge test, with a ratio of 80:20.
Regional selection contests organized by local associations and national chain companies have been completed one after another, and registration is nearing completion. In this competition, 130-140 contestants will compete for first, second, and third places in five events, with fierce competition. Contestants who achieve the top two places in the national finals will be recommended by the Laundry and Dyeing Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for approval, with the opportunity to receive the honorary title of "National Technical Expert" and apply for promotion to technician (national level 2) professional qualification; those already holding technician qualifications can be promoted to senior technician. Contestants placing 3rd to 10th can be promoted to senior worker (national level 3) professional qualification; contestants who pass (score 60 or above) in the national finals will be awarded the honorary title of "National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Technical Expert."
2009 International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference preparations are complete. The conference will be held from September 8 to 9, 2009, with more than 70 foreign guests from countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, Romania, Japan, and South Korea, and about 60 domestic representatives, including guests from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The conference content is rich and exciting, with the main agenda including:
Wang Shuyuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China General Chamber of Commerce and Director of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee, will deliver the keynote speech titled "Exchange, Cooperation, Win-Win, Development" representing the Chinese laundry and dyeing industry. Japanese representative Masashi Jurenki will speak on "The Response and Outlook of the Laundry and Dyeing Industry under the Global Economic Recession." Jordan, representing Pennsylvania, USA, will present on "The Current Situation of the American Dry Cleaning Industry." Chinese representative Pu Jinyong will speak on "The Current Situation and Development of China's Public Textile Service Industry." German representative Schütz will discuss "How the Laundry and Dyeing Industry Can Succeed in a Changing World." Representatives from Japan, Canada, China, Romania, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions will deliver non-keynote speeches, release the "Beijing Declaration," and visit and observe the 2009 (10th) China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition and the 6th National Laundry and Dyeing Industry Vocational Skills Competition.
Invited guests include: He Jihai, President of the China General Chamber of Commerce; Luo Qin, Secretary-General of the National Friendship Association; Mr. Chris Tebbs, Executive Director of IDC; Igarashi, Chairman of the Japan Laundry and Dyeing Association; and Junichi Kato, Chairman of this IDC session, among others.
Laundry and Dyeing Committee Limited Edition Production and issuance of the first "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" special commemorative stamps and first day covers. The first "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival," organized by the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and holds great significance in the modernization process of China's laundry and dyeing industry. To commemorate this historic event, the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee has decided to produce and issue a limited number of special commemorative stamps and first day covers for the first "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival," which will be available at various festival event sites to meet friends from all walks of life.
★Launch of the "China Laundry" Journal Publication
The new edition of the "China Laundry" journal, during its revision and promotion period (planned for one year), will offer the greatest discounts to new and existing distribution agents. The journal is published quarterly, four issues per year; readers can subscribe annually at a price of 56 yuan; distribution agents start from 50 copies, priced at 6 yuan per copy, with additional discounts during the revision and promotion period. The new edition of the "China Laundry" journal welcomes visitors, letters, and calls to request samples and sincerely invites associations, enterprises, and individuals inside and outside the industry to join.
The new edition of the "China Laundry" journal has a circulation of 5,500 copies, and with the comprehensive promotion and distribution work, it will gradually reach over 10,000 copies.
