Work report for the first issue of 2009

  ★ Will formulate and issue the "2009 Annual Work Highlights"

Hold the "First China International Laundry Festival." Our association will hold the "First China International Laundry Festival" in Beijing from September 7 to 11, 2009.
 

Organize the "National Laundry Service Standardization Committee." Within the year, according to the requirements of the National Standardization Committee and the Ministry of Commerce, establish a "National Laundry Service Standardization Committee" with industry technical authorities and standardization technical authorities participating, and actively promote the organizational construction of the standardization committee.
 

Build an authoritative platform for the national laundry industry information system. With the cooperation and support of key industry enterprises, our association has applied to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council for the "National Laundry Industry Management Information System" project. Within the year, the basic framework of the "National Laundry Industry Management Information System Construction Project" will be completed, and based on the "China Laundry Website," we will strive to build a comprehensive industry management information platform, gradually making it a solid carrier with authoritative status in China's laundry industry that integrates information release, new cooperation, industry management, industry statistics, training and certification, talent exchange, product recommendation, and other functions benefiting all.
 

Continue the development and formulation of new standards. Plan to carry out the formulation of "Clothing Water Washing Quality Standards," "Clothing Dry Cleaning Quality Standards," and "Clothing Ironing Quality Standards."
 

Increase training efforts and expand international exchange and cooperation. First, continue to directly train "Laundry Technicians" and senior technicians; carry out multi-party cooperation, integrate authorized training institutions, standardize training content and operational methods; promote professional position training mainly based on the "Laundry Industry Practice Certificate." Second, continue to dispatch trainees to Japan for study and strive for more quotas to send more personnel to Japan for learning and exchange. Third, plan to hold two centralized special exchange training activities throughout the year focusing on technical training, technical exchange, and equipment use training.
 

Organize a high-level domestic laundry industry delegation to visit the United States. From June 18 to 30, 2009, organize senior domestic laundry industry personnel to participate in the "American Laundry Conference (Clean Show 2009)" in New Orleans, USA, and visit well-known laundry enterprises in New Orleans, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, and Hawaii.
 

Improve the "China Laundry" journal. Integrate industry resources to improve the "China Laundry" journal, enabling it to have the basic functions of our association's journal and become a portal carrier for nationwide laundry industry communication.
 

Strengthen member management. In 2009, continue to develop members and strengthen the laundry organization, while further enhancing member management according to the "Laundry Professional Committee Member Management Measures."
 

Continue to standardize industry brand creation activities such as the Top Ten Laundry Brands. The review of the "National Top Ten Laundry Enterprises" must strictly follow the "Implementation Measures for the China Commercial Federation's National Top Ten Laundry Enterprises Competition." Those who fail to meet the conditions upon re-examination, despite timely submission of re-examination materials and payment of fees, will have their "National Top Ten Laundry Enterprise" qualification revoked and publicly announced; the selection of "Famous Laundry Service Brands" and "Outstanding Contributors to the Laundry Industry" will continue to be carried out deeply under the premise of brand building, fairness, authority, strengthening norms, and expanding influence.
 

Strengthen expert management and activate technical resources. This year is the re-examination year for laundry experts. Our association will continue to carry out the evaluation and re-examination of national laundry experts according to relevant regulations; for national laundry vocational skill competitions, special exchange training activities, drafting and formulation of industry standards, website and journal technical information responses, etc., we will scientifically and reasonably allocate and activate expert technical resources, provide a platform for industry experts to demonstrate and teach, and answer questions for industry enterprises, individuals, and general consumers.

★2008 Announcement on New Approvals, Re-examinations, and Revocations of "National Top Ten Laundry" Enterprises.

The Laundry Professional Committee of the China Commercial Federation conducted approval applications and expiration re-examinations for relevant enterprises in the industry in 2008 according to the "Implementation Measures for the China Commercial Federation's National Top Ten Laundry Enterprises Competition."

★ The first national-level referee training class for the national laundry and dyeing industry was successfully concluded.

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security that national-level vocational skill competitions must be judged by national-level referees, to ensure the fairness, justice, and smooth progress of the 6th National Laundry and Dyeing Vocational Skills Competition, our association held the first national-level referee training class for the laundry and dyeing industry in Beijing from March 19 to March 21, 2009, attended by more than 130 laundry and dyeing industry professionals nationwide.

The referee training activity received full support from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security's China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center and relevant leaders of the China General Chamber of Commerce, as well as active support and cooperation from laundry and dyeing industry associations in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Sichuan, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Hebei, Henan, Qinghai, Anhui, Jilin, Shaanxi, Shenyang, Dalian, Jinan, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Hanzhong, and well-known enterprises such as Funait, Rongchang·Yiersa, Zhengdong Innovation, Riguang Fine, Branch, Kabo, Guangdong Tiantian, Sanyo, Elephant King, Hengtai, Qingdao Jieshen, etc.
 

★ The "First China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" is imminent.

To promote the healthy and orderly development of China's laundry and dyeing industry towards internationalization and branding, strengthen foreign exchanges, gradually align with international peers, create industry exhibition brands, improve the overall industry level, expand domestic demand, stimulate social laundry consumption and laundry equipment market, and to enhance the social impact of the "2009 10th China International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Exhibition," "2009 International Laundry and Dyeing Industry Conference," and the "6th National Laundry and Dyeing Vocational Skills Competition" held in Beijing this September, with the consent of relevant departments, the China General Chamber of Commerce decided to unify the operation of these three major events and related activities to establish the "China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival"! The chairman of the organizing committee of the "First China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival" is Comrade He Jihai, president of the China General Chamber of Commerce; the vice chairmen are full-time vice president An Huimin and executive deputy secretary-general Ying Zhizeng; the executive vice chairman of the organizing committee is Comrade Wang Shuyuan, deputy secretary-general of the China General Chamber of Commerce and director of the Laundry and Dyeing Professional Committee. A special notice titled "Regarding the unified naming of the three major brand events of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee in 2009 as the 'First China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival'" (China Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Committee [2009] No. 2) was issued. The three major events throughout the festival will grandly showcase outstanding brands of China's laundry and dyeing industry and laundry equipment manufacturing industry, technical models of China's laundry and dyeing industry, and outstanding entrepreneurs in China's laundry and dyeing industry. It is a comprehensive image display of China's laundry and dyeing industry and a generous gift to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China!

The first China International Laundry and Dyeing Festival, themed "Exchange, Cooperation, Win-win, Development," will gather nearly 70 laundry and dyeing industry giants and experts from more than twenty countries and regions worldwide, creating an unprecedented grand event. It is a rare opportunity to understand the latest international technologies and products, grasp industry development trends, and keep up with world trends. The organizing committee welcomes insightful people from the domestic and international laundry and dyeing industry to seize the opportunity, participate, exchange business ideas, share the feast, and promote the healthy development of China's laundry and dyeing industry.
 

★ The 2009 annual "Top Ten National Laundry Enterprises" and "China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Experts" review work has begun.

According to the "Implementation Measures for the China General Chamber of Commerce's Striving for the Top Ten National Laundry Enterprises Activity" and the "Working Rules of the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Industry Expert Committee," our association plans to conduct the annual review of the "Top Ten National Laundry Enterprises" and the "China Laundry and Dyeing Industry Experts" under the China General Chamber of Commerce Laundry and Dyeing Expert Committee from March to June 2009.
