On the morning of April 19, the Tianjin Laundry and Dyeing Industry Association held its second council meeting. President Chen Qijun briefly reviewed the main work carried out since the beginning of this year. He said: In the first quarter of 2018, the association focused on completing five key tasks. First, it held the "New Era · Sharing · Development" themed "New Era Laundry Industry Development Summit Forum," enabling member units to clearly understand the current economic situation and development prospects of the entire industry; second, it convened a member representative meeting to clarify work priorities and goals; third, it conducted systematic statistics and analysis of the industry's economic status; fourth, it further emphasized strengthening production safety in early spring, eliminating unsafe hazards to ensure production safety; fifth, the association's party branch held two party member meetings to collectively study the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party and the spirit of the municipal party committee plenary session.
The president emphasized: The industry's development momentum in 2018 was good. Although affected by economic policy adjustments, resulting in a decline in industry personnel and scale, the industry's contribution steadily increased, structural adjustments are gradually underway, and the development status is sound. In the coming period, Tianjin's laundry service market will enter a rapid development phase, with accelerated updates in laundry equipment, detergents, and technical methods. With the development of internet and IoT technologies, the "online appointment" business model will also undergo structural changes. President Chen clarified four key tasks for the association and member companies in the second quarter. First, in accordance with the Tianjin Municipal Commerce Commission and Tianjin Civilization's "2018 Tianjin Business Integrity Promotion Plan," conscientiously implement the "Tianjin Implementation Opinions on Promoting Institutionalized Integrity Construction" and other deployment requirements, fully prepare and apply for the "Integrity Operation Commitment Demonstration Store". Create an industry atmosphere of "honor for those with integrity, shame for those who lose it, and concern for those without it," further optimizing the business environment. Second, fully launch training and registration for the "Clothing Stain Removal and Leather (Footwear) Care Skills Competitions," promoting the improvement of professional skills and technical abilities of member company employees through competitions. Third, continue to ensure production safety in line with seasonal characteristics. Fourth, further strengthen the ideological and political construction of the association's party branch and implement the party branch members' theoretical study plan. First, complete the required reading mainly through self-study. Carefully study "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," "Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," and "30 Lectures on Xi Jinping Thought for a New Era," enhancing party members' theoretical literacy and work capabilities. Second, prepare to hold the party branch's first half-year organizational life meeting. Third, hold a special party lecture. Fifth, accelerate the organization, revision, and approval work of the new landmark "Tianjin Laundry Industry Service Quality Compensation Standards."
