In 2010, the scale of China's top 100 retail enterprises expanded rapidly. According to statistics from the China General Chamber of Commerce and the All-China Business Information Center on the top 100 retail enterprises nationwide, the sales scale of the top 100 enterprises reached 1,664.12 billion yuan in 2010, an increase of 21.8% compared to 2009, with a growth rate 8.6 percentage points higher than in 2009; the number of stores of the top 100 enterprises in 2010 was 142,841, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
